Khamisiyah.. Still, Desert Rats might be a good idea, better airfield for MEC, nice evening layer and Island Germans to top it off..Brooklyn-Tech wrote:maybe kashan needs a remake/upgrade/update/whatever???
kind of like there is now a muttrah 2.0
At this point Kashan has become an integral part of PR and untill someone makes an significantly updated/improved version of that map I think it should stay put.
What Happened to Kashan ?

Saaaaaandstorm\fog for every assetwhore map plz
IMO black gold 1.0 > black gold 0.9x mostly because of sandstorm.

assetruler69: I've seen things you smurfs wouldn't believe. Apaches on the Kashan. I watched burned down tank hulls after the launch of the single TOW. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to give up and respawn.

The only real problem with Kashan is the morphing terrain/enemy-you-can-see-but-never-kill behind the hills and rills, if you will. Many swill, yes?

Re: What Happened to Kashan ?
Perhaps its the game mechanics that has changed but Kashan was a great map to play on and very popular for a reason. I think the biggest contribution to fall of Kashan is due to TOW and its limited range nerf as that was the ruler asset on this map but now its the tanks ( till CAS spawns ) that dictate which direction will the battle sway to.
Snipers and marksmen were another asset that had to be used well and it was usually them taking out the TOW / AA fobs to give tanks a green light. Unfortunately snipers are literally useless now.
I wonder if additional towns and higher flag count would revive it.

It still is?Beee8190 wrote:Kashan was ... very popular for a reason
5th most played map since april. before that, 3rd most played map since 1.0 - what are you on about?
Apart, I believe in lowering the heavy asset count drastically. Still have them, but reduce the asset spam.
Gives infantry more time to breath. Thats my personal opinion though.

OGT is basically how it's always been, however my personal opinion is that it should only be run with around 64 players max, 100p on 1k maps is just too busy. However, it's there for use at the server admin's discretion.ElshanF wrote:Less CAS because armor is a lot easier to destroy. Also what happened to maps like Ghost Train lol

What Happened to Kashan ?
We need a Kashan winter. Same view distance as Dovre winter. It would feel like the movie "The Thing" but with more tanks.

Winter in the desert. Or is it nuclear winter.
Forgive my bad English...
