Can't Join a Match

My problem is, every time I load up the game and go into the server list, I hit deploy and the game stops and completely logs me out of PR. I've updated the game and punkbuster and still have the problem. Is anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

Several possible reasons:
1. You are running an overlay, such as MSI afterburner, Overwolf, RAPTR, etc.
2. Your firewall/antivirus/router is blocking ports required open for online play.
3. Your firewall/antivirus/router is blocking PRbf2.exe and/or prlauncher.exe
4. In thePRLauncher go to options, then to video tab, then uncheck the "Fullscreen" box, click apply.
- Run PR, when it crashes, it will show a pop up window with te exact error message. copy of screencap the msg and we'll be able to pinpoint this faster.

5. Also, IF you go to PRlauncher, click SUpport-Copy to Clipboard, paste here, we'll get system specs

Actually I think you answered the problem, I have Overwolf and the thing won't shut off. Thanks a lot, I'm going to try uninstalling Overwolf.

well i got the same issue ... after 1.1.4.0 update i choose a server press deploy .. wait to loud map an wait and wait and it close game and log of prlauncher :S ... before update there was no problem so problem start with 1.1.4.0 update ....

so i uninstall PR ... download latest iso, do all update .. and i get the same with 1.1.6.0 ...

every time, when loading map it crashes at %15 load or %62 or %75 ... it changes .... and alos i tried co-op .. it is also crashes ... also small or big map not matter :S ...

there is no other program... i alos disable nod32 for 4 hours... firewall is allow game and others .. and as i told before game was working before update...

i also lowered all the graphic details...

laptop is old .. nvidia 7950GTX GO ... 3 gb ram .. i will try windowed mode to see crash code... soon

well i tried windowed mode .. but no error message shown after CTD ... then i realize that i was using headset sometimes (usb logitech g330) i plug-in that AND ALSO i deleted one of my profiles (i got 2 profiles) .. then start to load ramiel , it is working ) .. .. i will let you know if it is not working if i do not use headset again. .. c'yaa later

:SSS .. nope .. not working again... it is worked only one time as i wrote above than today i tried and not working again.... i only got one profile ... headset is pluged-in ..game crashes at map loading and not showing any error :S ... there is no other program running at background, i even disable nod32 ...

i tried again, again & again ... map loading sometimes stuck at %15, sometimes %62 , sometimes %36 ... i tried different maps and servers ... ((i can see server info -players&scores-, so no problem with connection i guess))

any idea?

local game is crashed too .......

BF2 works (with some problems) ..... BF2 sometimes does say "there was an error reading from the server" ,,, or something like that ... ... i see this one time when map loading complete .. .but later maps load okay and start playing ,,, and if i press ESC, game kick me out and show that error message "there was an error reading from server" ...

before 1.1.4.0&1.1.6.0 updates i was playing ok ... .. could it be connection problem with my laptop ?

after reinstalling still the same Problem....
But by my problem only the local game crash to desktop when i hit deploy...

well, i managed to work it 2 times today (tried at least 30 times ) ....... i "reset all profiles" and perform clean task from support tab ... and game worked for one time than it didn't work again (i did not change anything,,, one moment it working one moment it is not :S) ...

when i managed to load map and start playing, i press ESC to try if i can join game again BUT i did not even see menu, game crashed after pressing ESC ... ((orginal BF2 does that too))

i did lower all settings & perform clean shaders etc. (nvidia settings also for high performance) .. i tried to join same server%same map for 3-4 times and managed to join, after game ended it is crashed again and PRlauncher logs out ...

((i use ccleaner to clean temp files etc. nothing changed)) ... ((i can not update graphic driver, old graphic card 7950gtxGO, but it was working before, and also works sometime as i told)).....((i even end "explorer" process from task manager , also looked for memory but it was ok i guess ~2 gb used when loading map)) .... ((also disabled laptops own mic&speakers --i use logitech headset G330 and it was working in game when i managed load map--))

what else should i try ??

"error reading from server" i am getting this error every time round ends OR every first time i open game and try to join... what could it be? .. as i found, that is not only me :S ... some people got this issue :S with BF2 .... that is possible reason that PR also logs out ... i am using YANDEX DNS .. because our GOVERMENT BLOCKED google DNS :S ... (also youtube twitter etc...) .. i will try without DNS ... but this problems happining since 1.1.4.0 update
