[Texture] Mi-8 "Cow", Russia, WIP

Updating textures for Mi-8 cow for Russian Federation faction. Remember, its just a Work in Progress. Doing it on free time.

Pilot's cockpit for now, tried to be as close to RL as geometry and resolution allowed.

Hope this would help immersion into the game for the ones piloting trans. :-)

Would add other parts later cuz its wip(including cockpit).

Nice work, would be worth applying this to the other Mi-8/17s too :)

Also worth noting that this isn't what the pilot sees, the pilot sees a separate 1st person mesh that's higher detail and also has a separate 1st person texture for the cockpit area :)

Oh.... lol haha. How can I get those pilot's first person mesh to work on'em too? Sorry, I'm new to this stuffs. :D

Nps, basically geom0 is 1st person mesh, and geom1 is 3rd person mesh, (with geom2 being the wreck which generally uses 3rd person textures just the mesh is mashed up) with just selecting the lod0 between each will show you its main mesh for each like so :)

Oh and you can also find the 1p textures, as well as a bunch of others for the Mi-17 in \objects\vehicles\Air\mec_the_mi17\textures\ with the 1st person texture being called mec_the_mi17_cockpit_c.dds

Nope, pretty sure its just an unedited vBF2 texture for the Mi-17 cockpit so that .dds is all you have to work with really. Shouldn't be too hard tbh.

I take it you have PR installed thou? If so its under \objects\vehicles\Air\mec_the_mi17\textures\

Well, currently I'm in a village connecting via satellite, and I don't have bf2 installed nor PR on this pc...so.. Yeah... :|

Much better, big improvement over our current textures by a long way :D

Can't really help you with tips thou as I'm also not an expert on making textures :p
All I will say for that 1p wire thing, I would make it a bit thinner and also end up and stop at the bottom middle of that box, you can see it peeking out the left side which looks a bit odd :p
