Teamspeak was not good tonight especially on Fallujah, there was no intention to increase teamwork by forcing people to work together. The so called reason was "they are insurgents". I find this one of the main reasons why this game mode is not fun while it has so much potential. I believe PR is mainly designed for teamwork, however the FCV is not reflecting it. I hope the admins will review their opinion towards this game mode and will either decide to not play insurgency on the server or force people to work together properly despite the faction they are on.

This afternoon was pretty fun on the server. Nice to find a spot where noobs and more advanced players can mix it up a bit. That's what I needed, as a new user. I don't want to fight bots that can see through foliage or pick up bad habits by using co-op for training, and I also don't want to get in the way of advanced players having their fun. Some people have been playing PR for years, and I don't expect to be able to keep up with them yet.
I'm in Toronto, Canada, and it's a pretty stable connection from here. A bit of rubber-banding here and there but very playable.

Thanks for the feedback! The lag & recent "crashes" are most-likely because of an attack upon another server within our NA server's host facility. That will be fixed soon by the host.Trekkie wrote:This afternoon was pretty fun on the server. Nice to find a spot where noobs and more advanced players can mix it up a bit. Glad to hear you have fun and had a chance to blend with the people. Hope to see you again!
Edit: Had a great time playing with you and your squad as another SQ.L today on Saarema!

re: FCV (International)
Played a round yesterday. Definently wasn't as bad as the one I played before...
But, I wouldn't mind if you guys would please change the armor rules. Especially when you guys play like Khami.
Since there is like 4 tanks at start?
Plus, CAS is a issue.
It's just clans locking squads for armor and the pubbies (Me and everyone else) have almost NO chance of getting to claim the asset(s) and or joining squads of the infamous assets.
But overall the one I played on was Bijar Canyons.... Definently had a blast. Even though I disconnected like in 10 minutes. Cause my modem router is just gay af!!!

BR files have been decided to not be given out to the public in a directory. But just PM us, tell us in PR time what time the round started and we will distribute them.camo_jnr_jnr wrote:link to the br files?

I had a good round just a few minutes ago on Pavlovsk, our outpost on the Sub Pen took out several APCs and was a pain in the *** for the infantry because of the mortars and machine guns. The good foot hold we got thanks to the other squads made sure that we wouldn't lose. I hope the enemy team had a blast as well.

Yeah thanks a million guys for helping to make a place for everybody. I even appreciate when somebody makes a "no noobs" squad. Suggest never outlawing that.
oh yeah that was a blast!
Heh and today I learned how to ride a motorcycle and drove my first few techie assaults. I'm pretty good with a techie eh!

Oh man... tonight was so much fun. I haven't laughed that hard in a long, long time. Maybe this is the wrong place for storytime but these were special candy van times:
So we found this magic carpet and got all mesmerized by it...

So while we're taking screenshots, the FOB we're defending got the smackdown layed on it and a couple guys took all three of us out with AKs. So then we get healed up and everything, and leave the room, and then one of us goes back to take another screenshot, I go back to get him outta there, and the same thing happens again. So then we really started cracking up. But I also felt bad. I felt like we lost the game for our team. Just us three guys, losing this super-important FOB over and over because we were laughing too hard.
Plus I got to see some great mountain climbing by a teammate. Roping up onto them rocks and wrecking whoever got in the way. Pretty daring. Can't really see him here but he's just above my bead climbing up to that rock:

And then later on I finally did some good as a squad lead. Just finished that game. Fellujah West, named my squad Magic Carpet, amazing dudes joined and we had a couple rockin fire teams. I ended up grabbing some medics and holding a cache-adjacent rooftop, wrecking the americans on their way in, while those other champs hunted down APCs. We basically kept the cache spawnable for them while they kept our rooftop safe for us. And keeping rooftops safe from Americans is of course a huge pain. We stayed so cool on the roof and just kept reviving each-other with wave after wave of BMPs, nade-chuckers, all that action, and our APC hunters kept their cool and kept coming and yeah maybe that map's biased against the Americans, I don't know, but I do know we were legitimately kicking ***.
Server was way more stable today. Morning, afternoon, night, morning, only had a couple crashes.

Yeah, just had a overload on data cache during Dovre, it didn't crash just had a massive "freeze". Glad you are having fun. I believe we got a record of 34 hours online without crashes while #1 on the list the whole time.Trekkie wrote:Oh man... tonight was so much fun. I haven't laughed that hard in a long, long time. Word, I'll post my good times there. Just wanted to emphasize my appreciation I guess
The last time I had lots of disconnects was on Karbala Ins. Std. Y'all probably already know about that.
Thanks again!

I've played 2 full rounds on FCV. They were both incredibly unbalanced where one team's k/d was 120/20. Also on both rounds the admins forgot to run a mapvote or simply didn't set next so we had to play Skirmish. And then instead of running next they stopped the server. Also, it was really obvious that the admins were asset whores because mapvotes were done like: Black Gold/ Kashan/ Khami... You need to get your shit together if you want people to enjoy it.

I have to agree with you on the maps. Certain admins tend to whore assets, they tend to set up the map votes so they get the kind of maps they like. Besides that they often whore the assets then on that map. Would be great if there could be less asset whoring overall. In terms of maps and asset claiming (by admins and their "group"). This to let the infantry have their fun time and others who like to go assets as well.

I've dropped 6 admins off the roster tonight.
Thanks for the headsup.

It's a fair statement but it's also tough to strike a balance. People want to play with their friends. With all the clans and groups that utilize this server ie =DRK=,L&P,PRTA, =]H[= as well a the admins who have FCV related tags and a few odd friends there is going to be some asset bullying. Numerically we're talking about 3 dozen or more people. Many of them with years of PR under their belt, they are going to outnumber the average public player.
As long as nobody is getting kicked/banned and unfairly mistreated over assets.
As for the map voting, there is no denying pussy behavior that centers around insurgency. Outside the two 'valley' maps, most of the other insurgency maps are varying degrees of unbalanced toward bluefor as it is. Clans gang-vote for insurgency, teamstack and K/D:R dominate. I am sure in their own mind they think they are god's gift to PR. Saw this shitty behavior again on OP Archer like 3 days ago. The entire taliban team was pubbers just getting mauled by clanstacked Canada.
For god's sake if you are gonna teamstack at least take the known challenged faction for a map.
I am going to make it a point to start taking screenshots when I see this kind of ****.
