Generally there are three possible problems here:
1. Any type of overlay program, Steam Overlay, MSI Afterburner, AMD RAPTR, Overwolf, etc MUST be completely shutdown for PR to work.
2. Your antivirus/firewall/router is blocking the PR programs or the ports needed to play online.
3. Desura is a mysterious POS which has caused random problems in the past.

If you can start PRlauncher, click support, click "copy to clipboard", then paste everything in this thread I'll get your system specs and we'll start from there.

This is an HP notebook?
What model of notebook is this?
Does it have a discrete graphics card?

Right now you are running the integrated GPU built into the Pentium P6100, I don't think that is powerful enough to run PR.
Display Device(s): Generic PnP Monitor on Intel(R) HD Graphics
IF you have a discrete GPU, make sure you plug in your notebook, and switch the power options to "Performance" and "force use of discrete GPU" in the power submenu.

no there is no discrete graphics just intel hd 3000, it does play bf2 on all high without a hiccup so i figured it would be able to run pr at least at low.

Well, PR has a unique problem with overlay software, so make sure you turn those off.

If you give me the HP model number I can google a bit more specific info.

Also, you can try to run PR directly from it's location on your drive, instead of using the Desura program.

Turn off Desura, turn off all your overlays, then
Run this from Windows Explorer:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\PRLauncher.exe

Found the problem,
mismatched display mode to your screen resolution.
Display Information
-------------------
Display Device(s): Generic PnP Monitor on Intel(R) HD Graphics
Display Mode(s): 1280 x 720 (32 bit) @ 59 Hz
For the [DU]justin profiles:
Display Mode: 1024x768@60Hz

Let's try two things:
1. Let's play in windowed mode so any error message will pop up when PR crashes.
Open PRLauncher
Select options

In the top profile selection menu, select Profile 0003: jray541
UNTICK the "Fullscreen: tickbox.
Click APPLY.

2. Only Profile 0003: jray541 is set to a resolution that your monitor supports, let's try to log in with that one.
Open PRLauncher
hover mouse over Play
Click Select Profile
choose the jray profile
Login and test.

And please make sure you turned off your overlay programs.
