ecfelix wrote:No flames, just want to know if we can even play on your server. You said in your original post that you want to "unite the clans", I don't even know if guys in my clan can play there or not. I saw on your forum that you are banning certain clans on sight.
Just to make it clear, the whole reasoning of removing that group of people wasn't due to us not liking them, it was due to the fact key members were removed for no given reason, after attempting to contact three different leaders through two types of communication we have came into the conclusion that we shall not let them use our servers if we can't use theirs, plus we were provided with sufficient 'behind closed doors' forum proof that they don't like us, along with teamspeak recordings..

prWARS is not on the list. Hardcore has roots in prWARS, plus a couple people in prWARS are mostlikely recieving admin on our server within the end of the week. I want to "unite the clans", technically that group of people aren't advertised as a clan, they are advertised as a community.

And if your friends are in that group that share that tag, tell them to simply not wear it and they can play on our server.

Nope. They are all being unbanned once the leader has a nice talk with me.

So GOML, super. How was your experience on our server? Just wondering, since you posted in the feedback.

Good job fracturing a community with already dwindling numbers. This won't help you or your server buddy. I liked the candy van server (better ping to aus), both sides are likely at fault here, be the bigger man

Shame australian servers don't have the population anymore, have to put up with this childish US server politics.

I was on some other american server one night, when one of your admins came on, applied to be commander, removed all of our fobs, then promptly left the server..

Thanks, Australia on the upcoming server gets a guaranteed -180ms ping (Auckland pings it 135 avg, Sydney Pings 167avg).

As far as the admin who was caught, he has been talked to. If he slips again, he's in trouble. I'm up to speed with everything. As long as he doesn't do anything bad on our server, what is there to worry about?

E. If you would ever like to discuss anything private, PM me, sign-up for our forums, or we could even have a scheduled meeting on teamspeak. If requested you can have my personal E-mail if none of the above sound decent. Cheers.

We're talking about it now, we'll make some changes here in the near future depending on what we decide the best course of action to be.

I'm glad you are taking action. I am interested to see the course of action you guys take. Especially since you did a fine job critiquing the actions of other server's admins in one of your videos.

It wasn't bad. There was a little lack of teamwork in the few rounds I played, but I don't think the admins or the server are at fault for that.

I don't control FCV. I'm just one of many people who make the decisions. If its any consolation, I'm not for the blacklisting. Even if CIA/HOG blacklisted us, I would prefer to keep our server open to them... But again, I don't call the shots on FCV... I just give advice.

Yeah I know, I didn't say you did. I was just speaking hypothetically, someone said FCV was blacklisted from CIA but I'm not even sure if that's true. I just got back from camping, so I'm just now figuring everything out.

Alright, we have deliberated. The CIA blanket bans have been lifted. From now on we will ensure that no bans will ever be made that aren't directly related to server misconduct. You are correct ecfelix, I am very critical of server administration... and blanket bans are not in line with what I would like to see from a server.

Hopefully, after talking in length with both Fatal and Synthetic... we can start to improve FCV/CIA relations (and possibly even FCV/HOG relations) starting with this gesture. We don't expect you to unban our players (even if the bans were made for illegitimate/legitimate reasons) its your server and you are free to run it as you wish... but just know, that you are welcome on our servers (along with all rule-abiding players of any clan-affiliation.)

As of now, as an additional positive gesture... all bans previously made on FCV (emphasis on ALL) have been lifted. These of course may be reinstated if said players join and become reoffenders... but FCV is a place of lenience and second chances, and we should hold ourselves to those standards.

Thanks everyone for being understanding, and I hope this will help us become a more unified PR community in the future.

This is a very respectable thing to do. Thank you.

Server is awesome! Id rate it 09/10, still has a way to go as nothing will ever be perfect and it is in its infancy. Alot has happened to the community over the last 8 years. Its nice to see something new and shiny!

By the way the FCV Server rules have been updated and be sure to read FCV's Message in the community announcements section. I know alot was made about undefined/vague rules and what their mission was. I think after reading, everyone will have a much better understanding about what Free Candy Van is all about.

PR:BF2 Conventional Server Rules - PR:BF2 - Free Candy Van [Los Angeles & Kansas City] - Free Candy Van

The Message of FCV's Existence in PR:BF2 - Community Announcements - Free Candy Van

I have faith that this is the start of something awesome in the PR Community!
