[ANIMATING] new animation won't load up in the editor
Well, started animating lately. Real fun, especially the editor loading up the animations in real time after export.
But eh, it doesn't anymore now.
??: Very annoying to have to restart the editor to see a slightly altered anim. Any tips for restoring this capability?

Re: [ANIMATING] new animation won't load up in the editor
Nice.
I take it your working with a "pr_edit" mod or something along those lines? If you have any .zips in your "\mods\pr_edit\content\" folder then the editor will load the files inside those .zips before it loads any files outside of them, with if you have different versions of the files inside and outside, it will only load the ones inside the .zips and they tend to be the older files
Simplest solution is just to rename the "content" folder to something like "content_" for when your doing editor work and when it comes to ingame testing just rename it back to "content" and repack the new files into them
GL with doing your animations

Re: [ANIMATING] new animation won't load up in the editor
Load up your animation scene in 3DS Max.
Do CTRL + A and now with everything selected in your scene click on Edit > Edit Named Selection Sets, then if you see nothing in the box, it explains the problem.
So deselect everything, just click in blank space, and then go in Edit > Edit Named Selection Sets, if you see ANIMATED (always in CAPS), click on it and delete it with the X symbol.
Now select everything again with CTRL + A and again, go in Edit > Edit Named Selection Sets, create a new set and call it ANIMATED
Then export your anim, if it still doesn't work, check the name of your files properly and if they are aimed at the proper directory. (Animationsystems.con aswell)
Also a VERY important trick I would personnaly say for animating, is creating your own mod, no pr_edit stuff, just your own mod to animate weapons, so the Editor loads in 30 seconds. PM me for details and questions
