My brother and I just recently got bf2 and pr but whenever we try playing on the same server it kicks one of us after about 5 min. I have tried this on both US and EU servers and both have the same problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Help With Servers
Is it happening on all servers (wondering whether some servers have a script to try and prevent ghosters)

Re: Help With Servers
If you both Join a vanilla BF2 server (or several to test thoroughly) to test if it happens there too.
It's possible your router is freaking out having the same ports being used by two PCs for same program at same time. It has happened in the past.

Yes Noddy it is happening on all the servers we've tried. which is a lot.
LITOralis.nMd I'll try testing it on a vanilla server and see what happens.

I do this all the time and have never been kicked. Same router and everything, different computers and different legit cd keys.

We both have legit cd keys. We just tested it on a vanilla bf2 server and it did the same thing.

Re: Help With Servers
Ok, make sure you both have different static ip addresses going to your router. Open up command prompt in the start menu, (run, 'cmd') and type 'ipconfig /all' in the black window. Scroll to find the 'preferred' or 'default' address. These should both be unique to the computer you are using. If they are the same (or if they might be switching periodically), set static ip addresses for both computers. How to Setup a Static IP Address in XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Game Consoles - PortForward.com this is a guide for different routers and operating systems. There are 2 ip addresses, a local and an external one. The external ip or wan ip is the one that links to your house. After that, the router distributes local ip addresses for each computer connected to the router, and manages different data like that, and if the addresses are the same or somehow switch while in pr that could cause the connection drop. Mine are static for the computers that use pr.
