Re: US Light Anti Tank kit OP
It seems like armored vehicles could be tweaked to not suddenly blow up unless they reach a certain amount of damage taken. Like, pretend the vehicle has 1000 hitpoints, a LAT to the rear deals 400 damage, and when the vehicle reaches less than 400 hitpoints it completely breaks down and slowly bleeds to 0, where in fact it blows up. APCs are big coffins in PR, you're driving calmly, then a loud explosion happens, your screen turns black and you just had a mini heartattack, and your whole squad is dead dead because of one IED. I don't know how it would happen in RL. Would instead just some of the personel die with the detonation? Would the vehicle blow up in a such a way that everyone dies in half a second?
I have no idea how the engine can be worked on, to produce less insta-kills to infantry carried by an APC. Is it even possible to script something like the ammorack being hit and blowing the whole thing up with just one hit?

Yeah that would be the next step forwards, im sure I read a thread somewhere about it iirc but as with everything PR "could do with" engine limitations are always a massive issue. Im assuming most things that can be done have been done, but who knows.Unarmed Civilian wrote:It seems like armored vehicles could be tweaked to not suddenly blow up unless they reach a certain amount of damage taken. I'm sorry with the off-topic but ANNA (might be pro syrian propaganda) are not going to show you an apc getting blowing up by an ied, there is a tons of ied vid and picture wich prove they're deadly effect against armored vehicules. And for all the "nato whores" that think that the rest of the world can't compete with nato technologies they should watch some ANNA NEWS videos where you can see Bmp surving Direct IED and RPG hits

No, not unless youre shooting M72 LAWs at it. It's 2 hits to get a MBT black smoke now.X-Alt wrote:Like 5-6.

I distinctly remember shooting certain NATo APC(such as LAV-25 or whatever the Canadian had) in rear with RPG-26 and NOT killing it.
Either RPG-26...etc. do too little damage or AT-4 does too much damage.
Also, just shot a BMP-3 from side with HEAT of SPG-9 technical; it only got tracked, not dead.
Somehow AT-4 is more powerful than SPG-9?

Well, yes. According to Wikipedia, the PG-9 warhead penetrates up to 300mm, where the AT-4 can penetrate up to 400mm. The SPG-9 was developed in the 1950s and 60s...ComradeHX wrote:Somehow AT-4 is more powerful than SPG-9?

Both AT-4 and SPG-9 can easily penetrate any APC in-game except maybe Namer.
