I bought the game on steam so I can't re-enter my CD-key since I never got one. How can I fix this?

Can you give me some more information please.
Does vanilla BF2 online multiplayer work? Can you join a online multiplayer server?

Does the PRLauncher work? If it does, please click the "Support->"Copy to Clipboard"->then paste everything in this thread.

What is the exact error message you receive when trying to start PR?

Just go to your Steam Game Library, right clic battlefield 2 and it will show you lots of options, the third one should be '' Show CD Key '' - Almost every game has a CD Key on Steam, the validation is however automatic or in-game.

I play with the bf2 complete edition from steam, never had any issue (because of steam, however WIN8 and GTX drivers are dicks to old games)

Note that you can run PR:BF2 without steam, but every other mod needs steam to run, even if you downloaded it with desura.

Put your Steam Battlefield 2 CD key in, use the same email as your Origin account.
You have to createa new persona/alias/whatever as the screen ask's
