[Texture] Russian soldiers new digital camo WIP

So here is the russian faction digital camo, since russian army wearing these for many years now.

Finished. For the DEVs, here is the link to texture pack of 1st person and 3rd person updated textures(bump maps included), also desert and woodland kits texture with bump map to it too.

Looks really nice, it'd be nice to not stick out like a sore thumb on forested maps for once playing as them.

TBH I would take a picture from a few different levels to get a better idea. Samarraa, silent eagle etc.

You sir, are about to make alot of people very happy. I'm so glad there's a texturer interested in keeping the Russians updated, well done! Keep it up!

I wonder if R-DEV Nosforatu could provide you with HQ refs

Yes, R-dev Nosferatu is consulting me with soldiers texturing and providing photoreferences of some specific equipment stuffs.

Looks too brown to me, needs a bit greener tone. Other then that looks good.

- It seems that new uniforms green colors fade away in the field conditions, under the sun, laundry and dirt.

It was kinda greener, but Rdev Nosferatu told me to tone it down, maybe I overdid, will try to make it a bit more greener.

I needed it earlier since there were no images of 6sh112 without pouches in the net, but luckily found them later on. But thanks for the offer.

Here they might look weird, cuz of the model's geometry, but there is not much I can do about it.

You might want to leave the older camo on the helmet/bags unless you can find someone to update the kit geometry.

Afaik, the only geometry in ru kits that needs change is helmet. Other geometries on kits seems fine.

The reason why I decided to update kits textures on woodland maps is that, right now RU soldiers are walking around there in kits with unusual desert yellowish camo. Thats kinda looks out of place. Old standard russian flora woodland camo should have been used instead as it is in RL(I mean bags, rucksacks, pouches, vests). It seems, that DEVs had no time to work on flora camo and just darkened the desert kits camo for woodland maps.

There is so much work on new features, new factions and other important stuff, that I'm sure nobody is going to waste his time on updating ru kits geometries etc. I know, cuz its been years haha))). Now, updating bags pouches textures to standard flora camo, would be at least something, than just leaving it in desert camo.

But helmet, can be left in old flora though if you wish.

ah well, it's just a recommendation, you're the texture artist. Whatever you do, it'll turn out looking good ;)

Now that I think about it, it might help to throw in some updated, darker/faded flora camo that can blend in better with the environments to replace the old one on the helmet/bags
also it seems there are actually digital covers for the ssh60, so I guess you could just discount my comments altogether ^^

Thanks for this man, I think this is absolutely required.

The current Russian pattern is outdated and old, it's not used anymore that much. Probably not at all, because this and the partizan camo are the new ones.

Actually partizan camo is old, but used by spetsnaz.
