Re: PR:BF2 v1.2.0.0 Changelog
just one question about the civis: will they still be collaborators if they use ladders, medkits etc? with the implentation of this antihuman shield thing that would seem to me like a logical thing to remove. if that's the case i think i'd like that change.

Re: PR:BF2 v1.2.0.0 Changelog
Anti human shield?
So insurgent didn't take cover in house of civis IRL?
http://www.3news.co.nz/Nervous-calm-gri ... fault.aspx
"Sheik Ahmed Abu Risha, a powerful Anbar tribal leader who heads the Sahwa, told the AP on Friday that he believes he has enough fighters and weapons, some supplied by the Iraqi army, to confront the al-Qaida militants.
He alleged that some of the militants have been using civilians as human shields, making his men reluctant to try to confront them head-on because of concerns about civilian casualties."
http://www.armytimes.com/article/201002 ... -offensive
""I understand the reason behind it, but it's so hard to fight a war like this," said Marine Lance Cpl. Travis Anderson, 20, of Altoona, Iowa. "They're using our rules of engagement against us," he said, adding that his platoon had repeatedly seen men drop their guns into ditches and walk away to blend in with civilians."
They do blend in with civilians; which puts then out of ROE.

What the hell is the Dutch faction doing in this game. This faction never should have passed the sanity check for PR. Silenced SF class and a F35 that is still in development; not delivered to anyone yet.
Pathetic. This faction is everything that PR isn't about. This faction is a fucking throwback to all the bits of 0.6 that we shouldn't be throwing back to.

Re: PR:BF2 v1.2.0.0 Changelog
Well we can't control the kinds of weapons the Dutch forces use IRL trusim
I'm not a fan of silencers ingame, but the Dutch team's research indicated that silencers are more regularly used than in other nations afaik.
The F35 has actually been delivered to some countries now, only a few airframes
Third Joint Strike Fighter for the UK arrives
but yeah, we're using a bit of artistic license there, there are alot of teams using the F16 etc which is what would have been used instead, we wanted some variation there and now we have the F35 around for when we really do want it for other nations.

I am really really impressed with the amount of changes and new stuff (Shikotan Island, so beautiful). I also (for once) agree with all new gameplay changes. Great update! Everyone should promote the thing. This is such a big update, I am so looking forward to playing PR again.

Re: PR:BF2 v1.2.0.0 Changelog
This is a small change compared to the Dutch being implemented but thanks very much for giving the insurgent engineer the arty IED. That kit will finally be worth picking up.
I think that civillians being punished if they're within 10 meters of armed combatants is unrealistic but I'll just wait and see how it works out gameplay wise. I know the frustration of having certain blufor players on your team who kill civillians over and over, making the caches unspawnable, but I have a feeling that this isn't the way to solve the problem.
Anyway, thanks for all the hard work! Looking forward to playing.

There's a suggestion forum where you can present your superior alternatives, however until we receive that, this is the best we havefatalsushi83 wrote:I think that civillians being punished if they're within 10 meters of armed combatants is unrealistic but I'll just wait and see how it works out gameplay wise.
