Me too. Civis may get back to more of an intel role and I see no reason why ambushes by people organized enough cant still be set up. Shooting people at 20m is not unheard of?mat552 wrote:First time in years I've been interested to play Insurgency. Excited to see how it'll work out.

You really think that's the only thing civi is good for?Tommygun wrote:Me too. Civis may get back to more of an intel role and I see no reason why ambushes by people organized enough cant still be set up. Shooting people at 20m is not unheard of?
Civilian kit was already nerfed to the ground with the lack of rope/medic bag...etc.
Now it's even less useful.
Intel can be acquired by anyone(because most insurgents have binos); now BluFor will shoot civi even more often so civi has to hide, and it's already taking away a gun/2grenades from the squad...
melonmuncher;2008007']It's a pretty obscure system, mainly designed for the big guns (AR, MG).
It's shown only while the radio commorose is show (Q) and takes three seconds to load. Not only that but it only shows the approx amount.
AWESOME system!!! Whose idea was it?
besides... and ... a shit ton of small details were added and fixed too. Good work guys! Impressive.
Which details just as few examples, Spook?

Should be less scopes instead of more. The ammo count is unrealistic and unnecessary. Otherwise good patch.

Oh come on, it's not an ammo count, it's an ammo estimation, it's very rough, just 3 bars indicating how full your mag is, just like in RO2 where you haveTarranauha200 wrote:Should be less scopes instead of more. The ammo count is unrealistic and unnecessary. Otherwise good patch.
Full / half full / close to empty here you get one bar, two bars and three bars.
How about you play, test, THEN say how unrealistic it is?
I bet in real life you'd be able to assess the amount of bullet left by taking it out and looking or by the weight of it so it's not unrealistic and it's needed for some classes and weapons when you clearly can't keep a track on the amount you fire.

Lots of complainers in here, I get the feeling most haven't even tried out the changes yet.

Re: PR:BF2 v1.2.0.0 Changelog
Seems to be some controversy on these patch notes.
IMHO
The ammo check is a really cool feature, it simulates you removing the magazine and checking it's weight, which gives you an approximate bullet count.
I have to respectfully disagree with the insurgency collabs being in the ROE if they are next to insurgents, I'm gonna link this video here
The Battle for Marjah - YouTube
Go to 54:20, Taliban Insurgents are clearly using civilians (some of them can be possible collaborators) as cover to ditch out of there, the Marines do not engage as a result.
And I would wait on the implementation of the F-35, the aircraft is still technically in development and was never fully introduced. If PR wants to take place in the near future then, maybe more weapons still in development should start to be in the game.
But overall great notes, I can't wait to play this game again after a long absence.

PR has always been set in near future but they can't possibly update every faction every time an army somewhere announce they're gonna switch weapons. Otherwise they should redo the French forces entirely since those famas are going out.Acecombatzer0 wrote:And I would wait on the implementation of the F-35, the aircraft is still technically in development and was never fully introduced. Also fun > realism, so the implementation of a new asset is more important than if it's already here in real life or if it will be in a year.

It seems it now also has Steam overlay support now? Is this an intentional fix, or is this not supposed to be in there?
