Mumble problems

Post by Tajulek »

I have several problems conencted with Mumble:

1) It doesn't start automatically
2) It doesn't connect to servers automatically (I have to it myself)
3) The strange thing: it doesn't show me that I'm being moved to the channel my squad-mates are on but I can hear them talking and I'm able to talk to them too.
4) Sometimes it doesn't show me who is speaking at the moment
5) Sometimes I experience some icon- it looks like the speaker that I see when talking to the others but its dark gray and it have red "somethings" next to it. And I can't talk when it appears.

If someone help me, I would be much appreciated.

I'm guessing you downloaded mumble manually? PRmumble 1.0 or something?

No. I used Windows search to find PRMumble.exe cause it didn't created a shortcut on my desktop. I found it in some PR folder.

Please post your system specs, PRLauncher->Support->'Copy to Clipboard' button. Paste everything here.

You can manually start PRMumble.exe by going to PRLauncher->Options-Mumble tab->'Launch' Button

What type of headphones/speakers are you using? 3.5mm jack or USB audio or wireless audio or what?

I use minijack(headphones) and USB(speakers) for playback but always minijack for recording.

EDIT: When I try to launch PRMumble using the launcher PRMumble starts but all buttons in the launcher turns gray and I can't close the Options window to launch game.

Make sure you are not running two instances of PRMumble.exe at same time.

You want to use the D:\K\GRY\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\PRMumble\PRmumble.exe. You want to let PRLauncher start it for you.

You do NOT want to manually start PRMumble and then run PRLauncher, PRLauncher.exe starts PRmumble.exe in the background when you join a server.

Start PR.
Join a multiplayer server, join a squad and spawn in.

Alt-Tab out of PR to desktop.
In bottom right corner of desktop , next to the clock, you will see the PR dogtag icon, double click that to maximize the PRMumble window.

Expand the channel tree as needed to find yourself.

You can run Configure-'Audio Wizard' to adjust your audio input , audio output, and keybinds and volume levels.

IDK exactly how to fix your problem on WinXP.

Everything works fine now. The only thing I had to was not to launch PRMumble manually.
