PR Not Working

So, I'm new here, I'm not sure if this thread is on its place, but here's the deal. A couple of weeks back, I downloaded PR:BF2. Then i started it from the BF2's list where all my other mods are at. It said that I should start it from it's own launcher, so went ahead and did. Then it said I had to update, so it started the updater and it updated like 3 or 4 patches. After this, when it was ready, I double-klicked the launcher, and it went straight to "not responding"-mode. It doesn't start in any way anymore, and im hopeless. My copy of BF2 is not legit, but I don't think that's the case.
Please help me! By the way, my profile confirmation email took about 2 weeks to get to me.. I'm not sure how to feel about this ??:

I would first recommend a legit copy of bf2. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but yea, you should have one.

Wait, you're supposed to receive a profile confirmation email? What's that thing?
I created a good dozen of profiles ever since I have BF2, never got an email... (half of those were created on fake adresses so no wonder, but nothing on the legit addresses either)

I came to a solution, that I will reinstall the mod, because I just now remembered that my brother has installed the mod, not me. My brother has no experience in these fields. I still don't think its about the legitimacy of my copy of BF2.
