Pnkbuster B Disappearing

Hey guys been have issues for 6 months with this game as i moved to comcast. Anyways i got past that route though and im still loosing connection but when i do i am 100% sure its punkbusters fault. Anyways in my services punkbuster b only b will disappear every day or so at some point then the dcing will start. So basically i just need to know how to keep the service running. As a heads up i have in these 6 months have looked up many things and in that process. Found that you wanna go into the service and change the 3 tabs to restart the service so that's done as a heads up.

Also i have no anti virus that would cause this

Update I deleted everything of punkbuster and followed a guide i found updated everything BF2 and pr in the folder. Also i think possibly a problem is i use steam overlay so turning that off ill tell you how it goes over the next couple days.

Okay i fixed the issue i believe but get this it wasn't punkbuster fully to blame. once that was fixed i still got dced withing 30 minutes. After looking a bit i downloaded tcp optimizer and run it as admin switched the mode to optimal then pressed custom to keep the settings in custom as what optimal displayed.

Turned off windows scaling and put followed this guide thankyou so much also heads up guys i have comcast yes comcast thats ******** and guess what else i have a arris modem/router combo this fixed my issue. Make sure you change the pb service for a and b to restart the service on the 3 tabs.

I had the "Your connection to the server has been lost" problem in almost every round!
Sometimes after few minutes sometimes only after 20-30 minutes. Pretty random.
I have a very fast and reliable cable router connection. Not playing over wireless.

I always thought it had something to do with punkbuster.

After trying all common PB fixes I even reinstalled BF2 and PR.
Then I found out that I even get the above message on vanilla BF2 servers where Punkbuster is NOT enabled!

This knowledge lead me to all sorts of Windows network tuning.

I tested every single change and reverted it, when it didn't help.

But then I tested THIS:



Since that change I played serval hours BF2 and PR without any connection lost!
