No matter what server I join. It won't let me select a team or a kit. It just stays on the in-game screen. I waited at least 20 minutes in one server. I can't do anything but sit there and watch the battle.

I'd suggest starting vanilla BF2, creating a new online player account, and testing in a vanilla BF2 server to see if same thing happens in vanlla BF2 online multiplayer.

Let us know what happens, and we'll figure it out from there.

Made a new BF2 Profile, and I guess that fixed it. Should I keep playing on that new account or can I play on my old one?

CLick Options
ON the top white bar is a dropdown menu of each of your account profiles.
Select your older 'broken' profile.
Click the "reset All Profiles' button.
Click Apply.
Close.

Start PR using your older 'broken' account
Join an online serevr and test.
Let me know.

(IMHO, your user profile keybind .ini file is corrupt, you basically have no buttons assigned to anything atm.) hopefully the above steps will fix this.

Everything seems to work now. Thanks a lot for the help. But one more question. Where can I download JSRS mod if that still work.

JSRS mod is for BF3 singleplayer and Arma2 / Arma3 .

FYI: It's not possible to play online multiplayer PR with any type of sound modifications, you'll get kicked for altered/edited files.
You can edit sounds all you want for singleplayer, if you have the skills.

I've been facing this problem as well, no matter what I do still remains in in-game screen and I've been realize a same problem in BF2 client. I have to reinstall BF2 and PR 1.1.6.0 twice and this problem still persist.

What I supose to do, please help me

Your BF2 and PR installs are not broken.

It is your Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\...\Controls.ini files and Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles\...\Controls.ini files that are corrupt.

In vanilla BF2, login with online multiplayer account, select Options->Controls->RESET TO DEFAULT->APPLY.
You must login separately for each account you have and do this.

Join an online server and test.

Hi !
I have a bug that seems similar but the fix did'nt worked for me (maybe because of the gamespy end)
When I join a server everything is ok, but if I get back to desktop (ALT-TAB) my entre HUD disappear
I can't see the kit selection menu, the squad menu, the map, or even the suppress effects when i get fired upon and the blood when i'm hit
tried online on several servers at different days

I think you have a particular problem related to Windows 8 and alt-tabbing, but post your specs from PRLauncher->Support-"Copy to Clipboard button" , then paste everything in this thread.

You need to update your Video Graphics drivers. Your current driver is from 10/23/2012.

I guess you have a MSI GT(-something) model notebook. Try going direct to the MSI support and download page for your model on the MSI website. If that doesn't work, figure out if you can download the drivers direct from NVidia using the NVidia.com "find my hardware" wizard.

Simple-jack1969 , can you give us the exact model of your notebook?

Does it contain a GTX 650M or some other discrete GPU?

When you run PR is Windows Power Settings in High Performance Mode and forcing the Nvidia Control Panel option to use the discrete GPU when running PRLauncher.exe and PRBF2.exe ?

Are you playing while your notebook is plugged into the wall and charging?

I think you have an Optimus NVdidia dual GPU solution, yuo need to check if your discrete GPU si in use and not the integrated Intel iGPU.

To force the use of the Nvidia graphics card for an application, open Nvidia Controlpanel --> Administer 3D settings --> Here you can both change global settings and settings for specific applications.

Specific Applications you want to force to use the GTX660M :
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\bin\PRLauncher.exe
and
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\PRBF2.exe
