Training information
The PRTA community wishes to host a PR training session! This session will be completly open in terms of who can attend, however there will be a password for it.
The actual training plans and schemes will remain open for everyone to see, the goal of the training is not to have you all react to unknown situations, but to learn a few valuable lessons.
Which are the following;
- Covering Arcs
- Fire modes
- Discipline
The event will take place the 13th of July 2014 at 1800 PRT.
Be on teamspeak 30 min before to help prepare everyone and get into the right squads and such.

This training is not to be mistaken for a realistic approach to PR, but it is something I find useful for people in games to know. We welcome both veterans and new players, just so long as you have a good dosage of patience and understanding for the difference of skill level present on the event.
Line up
In the beginning of the round, the squads will organize themselfs as shown in the picture below. This is to prepare for the transport and briefing of the training, not to mention it would look pretty damn awesome!

The event will have 3 phases during training. And they will mostly occur inside the area of operations shown below.

Phase 1 Objectives
Defend LZ from insurgent attacks.
Build a FOB.
Set up Mortars.
The insurgents will infiltrate and try to engage our rear and center, the idea is that we focus on ensuring that all arcs are being coverd, including the rear ones.
Phase 2 Objectives
Defend AO from outside attacks.
The insurgent team will use vehicles and heavy weapons and attack the AO from the east. Using Technicals and grenadiers.
In this excersise the british team has to display ability to fire both covering and aimed. And to supress and drive the insurgents back, or destroy them.
Phase 3 Objectives
Advance south to clear the rest of the rural areas of enemy activity.
The insurgents will be ambushing you, setting up posts on range, to supress you while you advance. The main idea here, is to give squadleaders and squads the ability to fire and manouver with alot of other players.
Return to Base
Once I am happy with the ending of Phase 3, I will order a stop of activities. Which will prompt the insurgent team to switch sides, to take part in the final debrief.
Each squad will be picked up by helicopter and brought back to base, and will line up in the same way they did before.
The debrief will cover special mentions, events, and bring up feedback to which we can learn from. After that you will be dismissed.
Training rules
No smoke grenades while waiting.
No shooting while waiting.
Follow orders.
Do not wander off.
Keep quiet and things will go smoother.
There will be no engagments between phases.
