The British Light Transport on Vadso, when smoking, smoke can be seen through textures.
Steps to repeat:
Get British Light Transport and drive to UN Outpost, attempt to bang up so it's smoking to replicate cross country driving. Exit vehicle and enter bunkers... smoke can still be seen.

Re: British Light Transport
This happens with almost any asset that is smoking. I have seen Humvees and Strykers do the same thing on Ramiel in recent memory. It's not strictly British assets, and I am unsure how it happens but it appears as if the effect renders through the statics probably believing there is nothing between you and the damaged vehicle.

Re: British Light Transport
It something that happened after 1.0 I think. As I can't remember seeing it before. I have no clue what causes it but plenty of reports on it on our bugtracker
thanks for the report!

If I understood correctly the effects are loaded according the vehicle's health, so isn't it possible that is only one effect that is glitched?[R-DEV]Mineral wrote:It something that happened after 1.0 I think. The smoke is always the white one and I've seen it on:
- LAVS
- Civilian Car (HAMAS - Asad Khal)
I'm tempted to blame "e_dstate_land_mediumsmoke" but can't prove it...

Dont question the wikipedia! Just because it reports different things on different languages does not make it unreliable source!

Re: British Light Transport
Probably this is on BF2 itself. vBF2 had this problem, you can see the smoke effects through any material. Try this on vBF2, get inside a vehicle (preferably an APC, Jet or Chopper). Fire its gun while on 1st person, then switch to 3rd person while the gun is still being fired, you'll see the muzzle flash even if it's being blocked by the vehicle. In order for the effects to stop being seen through any material, the effects must be stopped displaying. The most frequent problem is the smoke effects.
This needs to be fixed since it can act as a "built-in wallhack", not only that you can hear the vehicle, you can also see where it is even you don't have a line of sight.
