Where can I download Battlefield 2 for free to play Project Reality?

Post by =Romagnolo= »

Yeah, that's right, that's what you just read!

A PR veteran just posted in the main section where he can download the game Battlefield 2 for free!

But before you judge me, let me try to explain:

I have a copy of Battlefield 2 when I bought it back in 2005, but right now the CDs are exactly (according to google maps) 7,629.91 kilometers (4,736.04 miles) distant from me. I could ask my sister to e-mail me the CD key, but I don't have the CDs with me, so I need to download the game.

The problem is that I can't use torrents, so where can I download Battlefield 2 for free but not by torrents?

Thank you.

Nowhere that we will discuss because that would be not legal(you can't share a digital copy of BF2 legally openly online) and should not be discussed.

Doesn't matter if you once bought it unfortunately :) We can't discuss that here. Google it yourself I'd say :) . Best thing for you is to find a friend to upload the DVD for you to ISO. Or make a copy of it.

And remember :

After my third physical copy of the game (original CDs and two DVD editions) I took the time to copy the .iso and mount it with a virtual drive. But that was years ago and I now have two soft copies, one on Origin and one on Steam.

Buy it on Steam, dude, it's R$19,90. They are still selling it there.

Rubbish...

Go to Origin.com and find the "Live Chat".
Once you get attended just say you want to add the key to Origin, they'll say that's impossible, due being an old game.
Insist and say the you know its possible, and they will do it.

I currently have a copy of BF2 in Origin by following this exact story.

PS: Yes you will need Origin to install it but not to run it.

Dont question the wikipedia! Just because it reports different things on different languages does not make it unreliable source!

I myself was about to purchase this rip-off, but I'm glad I found my DVD in time! Can't wait to play again.

Now, off to find the best link for me to download patch 1.5...

P.S.: what. Just found the patch in an old HDD!

Thanks everybody for all the suggestions and tips and specially for all the warning PM's about how irresponsible I was about creating this topic.

If any moderator reads this, could you please lock this thread?

Might actually be a physical copy of it at your Uni Library.
Also if you wander east on Pitman you got the Salvation Army store, used to have a stack of game CDs next to the music CDs.
(This was like 18 years ago :P )
Alternately, grab a USB drive and go to the IT dept and ask the grad student guys, they might have a copy of BF2 on their own systems.

I wouldn't mind sending you the ISO files from my copy. As long as you use your own cd key it isn't illigal. Just mail your sister for the cd key and use that for installation. PM me if you need the files.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading

Thanks for your kind offer and also for noticing that I'm doing is not illegal, I already have the CD-key.

My sister emailed me a picture of my old cases and I managed to find iso files.

Thank you again!
