Burning Sands Insurgency

Post by Careless »

Hi,

I'd like to complain about the imbalance of this map in particular.

In my personal opinion it's not a map for insurgency game mode at all, even if it were GB against SFA, Taliban or MEC.

It's just a meat-grinder in general;

*the insurgents have no means of destroying the heavy vehicles
*the implementation of flags makes no sense as caches can not be defended that way
*GB just pulls all it's heavy assets and grenade launching jeep to the known cache and rapes it in a matter of seconds.
*GB has tactical advantage (flat empty map with - in general - one place to concentrate on)

It's an interesting idea with the flags and all that (I'm not a fan of it atm, but anyway), but putting Insurgents on a map like that without any vehicles or whatsoever is just madness.

Please discuss.

Insurgents have two T62 and btr60 extracted form the military museum of the city......sounds good?

Strange, I remember insurgents winning 90% of the time on this map.

this mode should not even exist, i cant see this game mode on this map as something new, more like a cluster fuck dead spawn.

This mode is so much fun on the insurgent side, I want more of it!

Also, it crashes a lot.

What I like...

-It's on my fave map.
-It's new, not the same old INS.
-Both Teams have their ups and downs.

But TBH, It's really a rape fest. But I really do like the flag concept. Sincec the INS can cap them out and make the brits bleed.

The Brits get too many assets, and their main base is WAY TO CLOSE to the cache areas. This new version of B.S. is pretty dumb for INS. The caches are mainly in the city. I wish the burning sands had the old version of the bunker areas. It would make it the best INS map in game IMO if it was like that.

What I think the devs should do about this map:

Make the British Main at their normal main spawn like on AAS. It would give the ins a chance tro set up their defenses and such. They probably would have approx. 1-3 minutes able to set up until the armor and British arive in fashion.

Give the INS a main at least! It sucks being them a lot of times imo. Some of the caches are in GREAT spots, then of course the some of them are in the middle of no where in a house that gets spammed by HE rounds and Nade's.

But it would be PERFECT if it had thge changes that I think would be good for the map in INS mode. (Move GB main, have newer cache locations at the airport, give INs a main, ect)

Just my 2 cents! :)

thanks

Is there any chance we could go back to the old burning sands map? Surely people would be able to run it with acceptable frame rates these days?

Rudd didn't almost remake the map just to back to a older version with quite a few issues.

I can't see a simple piece of logic in going back to a older version of a map just because you personally perhaps like it more.

Also, thread topic is burning sands insurgency. Which has nothing to with what you are saying so perhaps we should stay on topic;

Don't think of me as so selfish, it's not for the benefit of me, I just think the old map played out better. (also i'm not the only one who thinks this).
I was just under the impression that the map was changed to increase fps.
I used this thread as it was a bit of a none issue, no point making another thread.

But it doesn't matter you gave legitimate reasons so I'll drop it. Thanks for the quick response.

Is there any plans to move the British main base? So the INS can have a few caches or so at the airfield/airport?

And maybe give the Brits less assets or something.

Why not make Brit main on insurgency layer where the MEC main is on AAS? This way you are opening up a number of sweet spots to hide caches, the Airport would be such a great place for insurgents to defend.

Haha, that to!!!!

Give the INS a few minutes to set up. Instead of being bomb rushed by the Brits in like 1 minute\ from start of round.,
