Super hasn't mentioned this but he is currently fixing the auto balance issue we are having on the server.

Great battle on sbeneh today. We had a lot of trouble capturing the first two flags, and moral was pretty low, but with about 230 tickets left we can back and took it all quite quickly.

The usually map-vote choice rant is a must.

I found the admins to be rather slow today on the response, multiple reports went on unnoticed and that over the course of somewhat 20min. Otherwise decent games.

I have to say, I've been enjoying playing on HOG lately. Gameplay has been very good in my opinion. Good comms and teamwork! The only thing that wasn't the best was the admin responses which took quite some time and multiple reports. Maybe it's an idea to get more admins on the server early on? When the Europeans join the server there is like 3 admins at most on the server.

Anyways, just wanted to say I was surprised by the quality of gameplay I've seen lately.. liking it!

Had an awful round on Yamalia yesterday evening. The teams were already quite unbalanced on Dovre, then the administrators decided to play Yamalia without balancing the teams out.

A very bad call, since on Yamalia you actually need proper teamwork to have good round. The enemy team was merely consisting out of 3rdAC, NEW, OD-S + Friends, PRWARs and quite some regulars while our team only had KSK and a few random regulars. Despite that the admins ignored it and decided to play it anyway, resulting in a very bad game since the Russian actually didn't have a challenge.

After that came Hades Peak, the teams got scrambled luckily, the game was better.

I hope the administrators will make sure the team balance will be better.

Played at my buddies house on his account Friday and Saturday. Had some AMAZING gameplay. Really felt true PR experience. Teams cooperated so well... I almost did a backflip on how happy I was.

Really keep it up.

And it's a normal for everyone to b^%#@ about every single map in the mapvote correct? Cause I have seen the same players do it constantly. It's annoying especially since you can/t see your screen with the chat in front.

I find the map votes not that bad to be honest.

I would just like to see a little bit less Gaza and Asad Khal in it while you have a full server since it tends to turn out in a 10FPS clusterfuck. However, if the server population wants it, let them vote for it.

Like all the new map choices, friendly admins and map votes set up by them, 10/10.

Good Afternoon,

With the complete understanding that the rules for the HOG server are posted out there on the web, please help me understand how mortars are considered a heavy asset and TOWS/AA are not?

I usually have a good time on HOG but there are times that these misunderstandings in terms or because I didn't read the thick lawbook of rules cause me issues.

I don't think mortars are considered a claimable asset (I might be wrong, I've never ran into an issue with players and mortars though). Since they can only be built in one place, generally the team has an unspoken agreement that if someone makes a mortar squad, the team generally lets them take care of the mortars. Its more of a courtesy thing than a rule.

Official claimable asset squads on HOG are:
ALL CAS
APC
TANK
TRANS

What was the situation you were in?

the "thick" rule book is not thick, if you go to the website and look, its in large letters and doesnt even fill a page.

did an admin tell you this? if so, whom?

Loving the maps, keep it up!

BTW...

I have a few questions....

1.Can mortar squads be locked at 5p? Since it really isn't an INF squad IMO, I was told before via TS that itt has to fill up to 8p. Which, when ever that occurs, there are only 4p at the mortars, and the rest are doing w/e.
2.Is it allowed to road kill a ton of times? Me and my squad on Khami IIRC were ran over by a humvee 2 TIMES!!! (so the guy got like 10 kills)

Will edit later for the other questions, I have to go to work

we dont allow "hunting" with vehicles. meaning, they cant do what you say happened to you. report them next time. Dont be confused about chance road kills and dont report those please.

we will discuss the mortar thing, i personally dont have a problem with locking it because it is mortars and is in one place generally but talk with the admins.

we think we found whats going on with that, will have to wait till next server restart to effect the change. Brez found something that is probably causing the problem.

A special thanks to ALL who have suffered thru the autobalance problem, thanks for your patience!!!!

Crash or restart, doesn't matter.

Thanks for hanging in there, I'm quite confident it'll be solved.
