I am currently having this problem on Windows 8.1. Is it going to resolve itself or do I have to do something to fix it?
(Yes, this is my third problem this week.)

Looks like GameSpy has pulled the plug on BF2 finally. If you're running PR v1.2 you won't have this issue, since we run our own replacement master server.
Right click "PLAY" in the launcher, and go "Check For Updates"

I just tried that and I am stuck in the update loop again where it gets to 1.3 and immediately closes without any error message.

Someone probably knows how to fix this, but an easier fix is just to download the 1.2 full ISO and install that one insteadRoyalGuardJessAveryJA wrote:I just tried that and I am stuck in the update loop again where it gets to 1.3 and immediately closes without any error message.
