What were your most intense moments in PR?

Post by matty1053 »

Tell everyone about your most intense moments in PR!

I was leading a tank squad on Bijar. We were the IDF, and we were holding our pos. and had our engines off for about 3 minutes. I was told by the Commander that he saw 3 enemy tanks at the main City. My squad was near where Alkomin was at. I then concluded we move south and go to the bridge. Right when we turned around, and about 10 seconds after we all started moving.... I have never seen so many projectiles flying at us. I think at least 100 rounds were fired at us. We then were dominated.

Our commander was braindead I guess. He saw FRIENDLY Namers... not enemy tanks.

But, the commander then put the UAV over where we got shat on.... and he said there were 4 Tanks, and 3 APC's that destroyed us.

It only took them 20 seconds to kill us completely.

Playing with bots. I was in a humvee when i crash it into an enemy BMP. I say "Oh sorry, let me backup." Then the BMP says "No worries, i should have been driving more carefully."

Then the BMP happily strolls off and i drive my humvee off into the distance.

The End.

Oh man, the INS round I had the other day gives me like 20 of those.

Al Basrah, Ins team. So, my SL and me grab scoped kits at main (I got the mosin, he got the dragunov), we drive south of the map, park the car south of the main road at the southern edge of the map, and we move north on foot. We follow the river, and we spot an enemy FOB in the distance, in that little concentration of houses just outside the city. We split off so we don't both get nailed in case we're spotted. Sure enough, when my SL was getting to the FOB, he got nailed by this Mk. 19 jeep just camping like 400 meters or so NW of the FOB. So I get in this building next to the FOB, and nail the gunner (who was alone) of the Mk. 19 with my mosin first shot.

Then I come to the FOB, scratching my head with no way to destroy it. So I decide to plant a booby trap next to the FOB, just as I finished planting the thing, a brit spawns behind me and starts shooting, hiting me a couple times. I run to cover, panicaly trying to switch to my backup sights, I aim down the sights as he's coming around the corner, and I get the bloody scope instead of the backup sights. I shoot, and I nail the *******. And guess what. He was a bloody breacher! So I grab his kit right, plant the C4, take cover and wait for it to blow up. Just before the FOB blows up, this guys spawns in who I didn't see right? So after the FOB explodes, and I go grab another C4, the ******* shoots me. Guess what happens next? He walks in my damned booby trap and dies. Then my squad medic drove in a car, saved my ***, some sapper came in and blew up their TOW and Logi and everything there was to blow up (including our car), and we drove off into the city with another car, and more crazy sh*t happens.

Anyways, I'll make a video of it all with BR footage.

I've been playing this game for way too long to remember all the intense moments and probably the "most intense moment" but this one is the last "super intense" that happened to me :

.9(something) Where you could still pick up some enemy kits.

I was blufor on basrah, picked up an enemy AK47 and went cache hunting. I was spotted and engaged by opfor on the island with the houses.

I was lonewolfing at the time and had no backup, so It was me, my AK, and 210 rounds of 7.62x39 against 2 insurgent squads guarding the cache. The firefight lasted for a few minutes, but my god did it feel like an eternity, an awesome eternity. I died after I ran out of ammo and nades. But I never felt more awesome.

On Sareema playing as Russian Armed Forces, there was the enemy fob that half the team was trying to get, and we were loosing bad. There was 5 people who got shot and killed, but I managed to get to the fob. I was bleeding, so I had to take the enemy kit for patch.

Just then, a blufor soldier spawned and he looked at me, and then he was like "Oh your friendly", and moved off. I started acting like blufor by firing in the direction of my team, when there was half a squad coming and looking at me. Because it was also dark, the confusion lasted a good minute before they noticed I wasn't friendly, and I tried to aim my gun, and then got shot.

i had one of my most intense rounds on sunday afternoon during the Nuijamaa map test.
i was on the French side and in an infantry squad, russians managed to capture all the flags but one,our last flag which was near a farm.so we started building a fob and then a TOW,2 HMGs and 2 mortars to defend our last flag, russians attacked us from every single direction(literally),i was using a mortar and mostly firing at 150-300m targets,we killed a BTR (i think) and 2 BRDMs as well as a lot of infantry!
we lost the battle(190-0)but that last defense was awesome.
my squad leader was recording so hopefully we get to see his footage soon....

I had a round yesterday that was intense AF.

It was on Kokan, we were the INS. (We were sniping away at the Hab's. (canadians) and we heard a rope. We had 3 guys in the building.... we heard the rope, then we stayed silent for about 5 minutes. We literally hid in the house, and they didn't find us. (My buddy was behind a door... which I don't know how they didn't see him lmao.) Then, 5 min later, a canadian sniper squad decides to take our building. My sapper took ieds... placed them where they were at.... and then we shot our guns into the air, waited 30sec and then, BOOM.

Then we got punished by an LAV that we had NO CLUE was sitting about 10m away, he wasn't firing or anything.

I'm the type of guy that tends to write huge posts explaining his points of view in detail... so it would be quite normal for me to write a huge "tale from the front" about my best PR moments.

However, I think that this one time I can reduce my explanation to two simple words: PRT Battles!!

I'm sure many will share my opinion ;)

But back to the topic:
My most intense moment in PR was my first ride has a transport pilot. Muttrah was the map and although I knew how to handle the Huey it was going to be my first time with passengers.

The round started, passengers board in and I swear that the first deployment between main and docs was like playing the current Falklands, ocean everywhere and no signs of land.
Eventually we arrived safely to docks and that was the beginning of my PR trans pilot chapter.

I was playing insurgency on Fallujah and I was in the mortar sq and this is a story of how I killed a 6-man sq by myself.

So I was going on this nice calm recon mission to find targets for mortars.

I walk into a house trough the garage (its the small house with a garage and a terace and it only has 1 floor) and I see a guy at the doorway I fire at him with my ak and he's down but there is more guys behind the door, I immedieatly run the opposite direction around the house and see 4 more guys looking at the door all bunched up I fire at them kill 3 and the one ran into the house I'm out of ammo and I'm positive there is 2 more guys left.

So im all panicking my heart is ready to jump out of my chest and for some reason I ran into the house on the opposite door and went upstairs running with no ammo in my gun and there is an american running in the opposite direction off me and we just passed by like it was nothing I dont know what was this guy doing.

So as I went by him I go on the balcony jump down and hide behind one of those vents to reload. I reload, patch myself calm a little and as I walk out there, there they are, one in front off me and one on the balcony, on the second floor. I fire at them, kill the one on the ground and maybe wound the one up there. I run back to the other side of the house and the guy jumps from the balcony directly in front off me to his death.

I just had a new intense moment in PR.

I can't quite explain it in written words, but to the ones who witnessed it, it became known as "The Cortana Event".

Cortana is Love, Cortana is Life. Praise Cortana.

A very intense recent round was on NEW, Fallujah West. The enemy team consisted out of mainly 3rdAC, our team out of different clans. Our Bradley got tracked, leaving it on the street. My squad was near it and I decided to cover it until it could get back to the main. During the fight my squad killed about 20 insurgents encircling us while the Bradley and other supporting squads were killing a lot of insurgents as well. With constant RPGs flying over, PKMs hammering us and AK rounds cracking all around us it got very intense. But we made it in the end and the Bradley lived on for quite a while.
We are staying up!

So, it wasn't really the most intense moment, but definitely the one I remeber the most. I never laughed out that loud. My sides still hurt 2 days after the incident.

Back in the days of PR: Normandy:
Map: Assault on Brecourt

Mr.Toast and me were driving in our so called "Hitler car" to meet up with the rest of our squad. I was driving and toast was sitting next to me with his K98 in his hands.
We were driving offroad because it simply was faster. We came to a point where we needed to drive over a tiny hill to get to the other field (because there was a road between).
We went full speed, rushed over that hill and there, a one manned american jeep was driving underneath us in the opposite direction.

We decided to follow it and it became a mario kart styled chase. Me were chasing it and toast just emptied mag after mag into the driver seat of the jeep but that guy just didnt seem to care. We drove through the battlefield, past friendly squads, through mortar fire. Nothing seemed to kill us or the jeep. (insert Benny Hill theme here)

After 3 minutes of chasing the guy, toast only had 4 or 5 bullets left. The ennemy jeep drove onto a road and that was where we had him. 1st Shot - miss 2nd Shot - miss 3rd Shot -> RIGHT IN THE BACK OF HIS HEAD.
Due to the BF2 mechanics the jeep went from 100km/h to 0 km/h in a split of a second and toast and me crashed right into it and died aswell. Like I said, i've never laughed harder in PR.

It happened on the new CNL server and because they only had it running for 2 days, they didnt had battlrecorder set up. The best stuff never gets recorded (a.k.a The Moulin Syndrome)
