Re: PR 1.0: Connection to Server Lost
Well, it seems that my problem is not totally fixed. I played for about 20 min on Fallujah on 4SFG, then for maybe 50 min on OP Archer on 4SFG, then I had the problem of freezing then the "Connection to server was lost."matty1053 wrote:Lol...

I think 4SFG is an US server and I was on a TS server at the time.

Can anyone help please? It is happening again. I need to know how to port forward on my Netgear SRXN3205. Or any other fix. This is really fucking irritating.

Re: PR 1.0: Connection to Server Lost
Was able to log into my router manager and disable UPnP. Seems like that fixed it for anyone wondering.
But just in case, what are the port numbers/information I need to port forward BF2 if I need to.

Try this list of ports:
'[R-COM wrote:LITOralis.nMd;1890674']You have ports blocked, either through a software firewall or hardware router, of the ports used to query the master server list on the gamespy network.
Particularly to your problem you need to open this port:
28900 (Master Server List Request)
Other ports that could be opened:
- opening the following ports
UDP: 1024-1124,16567,27900,28910,1500-4999
TCP: 1024-1124,29900, 29901
I'm guessing you are getting this error message?
- connecting via PRSPY: Game starts, then shows this message "Your connection to the server has been lost."

Re: PR 1.0: Connection to Server Lost
Hello,
I registered an account on here just to post to this thread that I have been experiencing the same exact issues described, and it is driving me crazy.
I will join a server, and everything will be going great, then all of the sudden the game freezes up for a few seconds (however I can still hear people on Mumble) and I am kicked to the server browser with the message "Lost connection to the server", that is it, nothing more specific. It ALWAYS happens to me, the only thing that seems to vary is how long I can be in the server before I get kicked, I have seen it happen as quickly as a few seconds in the server and as long as ~45 minutes.
I have tried EVERYTHING, I don't know what else there is I can do. I have:
- Turned off my router's firewall
- Put my computer's IP address into the "DMZ" mode on my router
- Turned off Windows firewall completely
- Set BF2, Project Reality, Mumble, PunkBuster all to run "As Administrator"
- Made sure to check PunkBuster for updates
- I have uninstalled/re-installed BF2 and PR to no avail
- Gone into Windows Services and made sure that the "PunkBusterB" service is set to restart on failure
- I have followed special instructions from other threads online and disabled certain Windows services and run command commands in an attempt to help, does not seem to be helping
My operating system is Windows 7, 64 bit and I have Steam installed, which is how I installed BF2 on my computer.
My ISP is Comcast and I have their Arris TG862G-CT router.
Can anyone help me? Is there any further information that can be discussed on this issue? This makes me very sad because I have had so much fun playing Project Reality when I am not getting kicked, and this whole issue is very disheartening. I am making all kinds of changes to my computer's security, etc. and if it is all for nothing then I will be very depressed.
