New guy here

Post by 127_Tom »

Hi, I installed and played PR 1.2 yesterday for the first time.
I played around 5 hours straight. Best immersien I ever had.
I joined a squad and they quickly teached me how to communicate through radio and local talk. Everything went smooth

I just have a few questions: I did not install Punkbuster. Do I need this? I had trouble with punkbuster with BF3 and RO2 (game freezes after a few minutes). on servers that did not run PB I had no problems. Thats why I didnt install it.

Do I need to intsall Mumble? Or is this incorporated in the client and is only needed for serverr setup? Was wondering maybe if mumble makes the local talking sound better or something.

And last: I really want a serious squad / clan to play with. I played with maybe 4 different clans yesterday, and I enjoyed 2 of them. Good teamwork and not too much chatter.
the 2 other squads people talked constantly it was impossible to focus on what was going on.

You do not need to install or use punkbuster anymore. Mumble is integrated in v1.2 so you don't need to install that either, that's what you were using to talk. I can't answer your clan question.

And now, we wait.....
