PR:BF2 Launcher has stopped working error

Post by whathe12 »

I keep getting this error whenever I try running my PR launcher. ERROR PIC

I've reinstalled PR and BF2 twice and it still keeps recurring. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've searched all over and have yet to find a solution to this.

Try updating your dotNET Framework to 4.5.1
Download Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows 2008 R2 - KB2836939 from Official Microsoft Download Center

Make sure your antivirus hasn't blocked PRLAuncher.exe or PRBF2.exe .

(especially true for AVG antivirus in the last two months)

I've completely disabled and uninstalled all anti-virus programs on my computer, including my firewall and it still does not work. I've tried to install the update you posted and I get this error on every download provided from that link.

Also make sure you are on administrator account or have admin credentials, and run both BF2, and PRLauncher as admin. Turn off UAC and windows defender.

Also, have you tried running vanilla BF2 first before attempting to run PR? Updated to 1.5? PB installed properly?

I dont have NET 4.5.1 only 4.5 and I run it without any problems, so I dont think it will fix it, but it wont hurt.
