I was just thinking about this today. I also was having some ideas about Syrian maps where it would possibly be more than 2 teams. Like 3 smaller factions with infantry and light armor battles. I would recommend maybe watching some liveleak syria videos if you wana get a feel for what it is supposed to look like. Shits brutal.

I dont think that its possible to have 3 teams fighting each other. I might be wrong though.

You can heave only 2 factions at map, but you could give faction vehicles from another one, like USMC vehicles on Fallujah(where US Army fights), to simulate that they are fighting together.

Was thinking it would be cool to have a MEC vs Insurgent Map.

Eh, more just to simulate recent/potential conflicts like Syria/Libya/etc. or possible flashpoints where organized government forces are fighting rebellions/insurgent groups. No need to get political or religious. Just be interesting to see MEC forces in INS maps and irregular forces.

Theres also insugent vs insurgent situations in in syria and iraq.

Hezbollah and fatah al-intifada for example, are in conflict with al-qaeda and Isis.

A map featuring insurgent vs insurgent could also be awesome.

My suggestion is hezbollah vs ISIS . other option could be Baath brigades VS nusra front.

You can also have different kits (and soldiers) from more than 1 faction in 1 team (in Battlefield 2) by modifying the Init file in the Level "server.zip". I'm pretty sure you can also do it in PR, but since it uses a different system (basically a bunch of predefined kit layouts for each faction, that is then loaded in the Init of the Level, as opposed to vBF2 where the kits are individually written in the level's Init file), you'd have to create / modify existing faction Init files.

So you could potentially have something like: For every Std kit you get a US Army soldier, and for every Alt kit you get a US Marine, in one team, in one map.
