Sliding down ladders and dying

Description:
When you slide down ladders and get shot, you will get bugged and can't move/spawn/do anything except move your head around. If you want to continue playing in the server, you need to reconnect

Steps to Reproduce:
Slide down ladders and somene shoots you

As you can see I am dead. But I can still move my head around


Tested On:

-map name: Karbala (This same bug happened in Al Basrah too)

Don't know that all it takes to reproduce is being shot when sliding down a ladder.

I had that once aswell, but cannot remember it being on a ladder. I just tried to reproduce it by dying on a ladder by bleeding out or getting blown up, both did not cause the bug. I will try to get shot later when I get some assistance and add it to our bug trucker if this is really reproducible.

I can confirm that, just happened to me. I was insurgent on Karbala, climbing up a ladder when mortars came down on me, slided down then second mortars killed me and I was trapped on the ground, just able to look around. Heard myself cry but not going to death screen, very weird.

Can an admin kill you with command? Or maybe getting switched helps? If that works you wouldnt have to rejoin everytime as i doubt we can fix this

I just tried again on Karbala. getting shot, naded, blown up. Nothing. tried on the same ladder as Nate posted. Nothing either. Its one of those PR anomalies, that only happen when several certain specific conditions are given at the right time. Impossible to reproduce. As mats said, there is nothing that we could do against that.

On my case it happened right before I was on the ground. Maybe only happens when you reach the ground before you're dead.

edit: ok probably wrong cause in the video he was stuck very high

Add ObjectTemplate.isOpenVehicle 1. What it does, is release the player from the vehicle.

It was, for some reason, removed as it was there from the original bf2 file. I'll test it out sometime on local, try to get those bots to shoot at me from the ladder

I got a bug where I could fall from a ladder and not receive any damage when trying to reproduce this bug in Jabal, but it's a random chance.

I basically fell like 5m, bleeding effect, then spawned kits, used prbot3, went to climb up ladder, use smokes, use claymores, go up the factory ladder that's west of jabal, and fall down.
