Hey everyone, I made a little document for myself and probably other admins on FCV to quickly get relevant information on choosing maps. There are three tables in the document, one each for 1, 2 and 4km maps. The map names then link to a more detailed view of those map's available layers. Get the PDF if you wanna use it and feel free to get the .odt to modify it to your needs.

There isn't very much info on the layers yet, just what I thought relevant from going over the map gallery. If someone wants to start compiling more complete information on the assets available on each layer, feel free to modify and share the file here.

Updated. I wasted a bit of time adding way too much info. At this rate, I'll never finish it. If I could on the other hand get a handful of guys to help me, we could finish this in a few days.

What I have done is pull up the gameplayobjects.con for each layer in a text editor. This file is located in \Battlefield 2\mods\pr\levels\LEVELNAME\server.zip\gamemodes\ and then in the gamemodes and layer subfolders. 16 is the inf layer, 32 is alt, 64 is std and 128 is lrg. In those files you find all the assets that are spawned on the map, wether they are delayed and how long it takes for them to respawn.

If everyone could just grab a handful of maps and post the assetlist here like this:

ASSET, (DELAYED), ## min
e.g.:
AH-64 Apache, delayed, 20 min
F-16, delayed, 15 min
etc.

organized by layer and side, we could do this in a few days. I'd then just add all the info to the file and bam.

I've looked in those gameplayobject files before. I can tell which assets are used and their corresponding respawn times, but I don't know how to determine whether they're delayed or not.

Can you tell me how that value is declared?

Both are maintained by Senshi, his forum profile linked below.

It's in German , but since we already know mos of the info it's easy to navigate without reading the German.
on bottom of page, go to Maps.
Each map link has all the info you need.
If you ask Senshi Project Reality Forums - View Profile: Senshi , the main creator of the wiki, he might even have it in .csv or excel format already on their backend.

Look for this: ObjectTemplate.spawnDelayAtStart 1
If that variable is set to 1, it's delayed, I think.

And Litoralis, thank you, I'll look into that. I thought that wiki wasn't maintained anymore, which is the reason I wanted to make this list in the first place. And German is no problem for me, as it is in fact my first language ^^

You're right. It's not up to date.

New plan:
Install PRSPy for Android , it has up to date spawn timers for each map/ map layer.

Bandwevil already hooked me up with this (PR map assets - Pastebin.com), which he just generated with a little script. Which really annoys me, cause I could have possibly done the same if I had used up a good chunk of my day to relearn shell scripting basics instead of manually writing out that info -_-
