disconnected speaker image in-game? (VOIP)

Post by iain »

Image

Can someone tell me what the above image means? It appears constantly on the bottom right of my screen. can't communicate with my team but i can hear other people fine.

I've recently started playing PR, Mumble seems to work okay, i think.

When i create my own LAN server, the symbol is gone and VOIP works as normal.

It means your connection to the server's mumble server isn't working properly... that somehow it isn't handshaking properly.

I noticed from some of your other posts that you are having connection issues with mumble connecting/reconnecting. I'm having the same exact problem and wanted to know what exactly your solution was if you fixed it.

Alt tab find the mumble icon or more likely icons in the hidden tab, close them all. When you maximize the game one mumble will restart.

Sorts it for me every time.

Hey man, those problems i had previously i realised were caused from an old version of Mumble.

When i first installed PR, i thought i had to install mumble seperately, so i googled for a download and the best search result was a really old version.

fixed the problem by reinstalling Project Reality. the up to date version of Mumble is already in the PR folder!
