If you get this working please post a version snapshot of ALL your related packages.

Im trying to get this done for two years already but I may be doomed due to my AMD 6780 graphics. While the graphic performance gets better with every commit I fail to get .net and PRLauncher to work properly. It just hangs on launch.

Trying to get this to run under OSX. Steam/BF2 work great.

Did "winetricks dotnet40", but the launcher won't start. Seems to hang at some point.

Is Punkbuster used by most PR servers? If yes, getting PR to work under Wine will solve nothing. Punkbuster will never work. I got battlog.co to work under Wine for BF2 and that works great, but all the popular servers use Punkbuster so you get kicked about a minute after entering a game.

FCV & PRTA doesn't use Punkbuster, I'm unsure about the other servers.

OMG ... many replies while I was @ Burning Man :D

Well Punkbuster works, you just need a 32 bit installation. It is kind of tricky to get a 32 bit wine under a 64 bit Linux working, but IF you get it working, PB will run perfectly.

I am still on holiday, so stand by. As soon as I got It working, I will post a tutorial (including 32 bit wine) in this forum. Thank you.

It's not necessary to spend time with PB. Rarely any server uses it these days.

I hope global streaming to GGC and PBBANS works without PB or else...

Hey! Did you ever get it working under linux? I want to do the same, but if its not really playable i wont spend those hours trying to install it.

I managed to install steam, then dayz standalone on my laptop on ubuntu. Its powerful enough to play dayz sa and BF2 :P R on windows, but on Ubuntu via playonlinux -> steam -> days sa was unplayable, too laggy and weird graphical glitches like grass were blinking transparently in and out. So i dont have huge hopes for BF2 :P R, but if someone else made it working please tell us.
