High Command announced - Officer SignUps Open

After reviewing the applications that reached us the past week, the Project Reality Tournament Team is proud to announce part of the High-Command Staff for both teams. Once teams are full and SignUps closed, the teams (PAC and EMF) will then be assigned to each SCO based on their preference and mutual agreement (if such exists).

Team A
Supreme Commanding Officer (SCO): Spook, Germany
Spook wrote: After what seemed like an eternity, something is rising from the dark.
An almost forgotten relic from a time, where the spirit of the masses was flocking together from all around the world.
It is now the time to bring it back to life and unify once again.
This is the moment where we can prove our devotion and achieve something no one shall ever forget.

So I ask every single one of you. Join me and fight with me. Fight with me to the bitter end and be victorious.
Only one side will come out of this alive, be sure to be on the right one.
Commanding Officer (CO): Cruzmissile, United States of America

Further Staff: Available, To be announced

Team B
Supreme Commanding Officer (SCO): Norby, Germany

If your answer is teamwork then you have come to the right place.
Are you ready to take the next step?

The PRT team has revived the one and only tournament in the PR world.
Now it is up to us to form the perfect team.
Players from all over the world seek this unique opportunity.
PR veterans and new players unite to take up the challenge
Are you ready do go the extra mile?
Then say yes to the ultimate PR experience. Join the best team ever in the PRT.
Let us experience dramatic moments and glorious successes together.
I will show maximum dedication. I know you will do the same. We will never give up!
Join me in our fight for the ultimate goal - Victory!
Commanding Officer (CO): Snipd, United States of America

Further Staff: Available, To be announced

With this setup, we have experienced and skilled PR players that have been very active in the community and thus have all the capabilities to perform on high standards and evolve throughout the campaign. The SCO's can now recruit further staff from their team's SignUps as well as have some of the other SCO/CO applicants join their ranks. The preparation time for both teams will give enough time to evaluate the performance of all staff and the teams are free to re-adjust the roles and responsibilities within their ranks as they see fit.

Both teams are now open for Officer and non-commissioned Officer signUps! Help leading the team you want to victory! For detailed instructions on how to sign up, follow this link:

The Admin team hopes for many good applications and is looking forward to welcome you all in the Project Reality Tournament.

Not even a day has passed and the PRT has already received 30+ applications for Officer/NCO position! Six days to go - Sign up now!

More information about the Supreme Commanders:
Spook:

Approx time played Project Reality: 5 years

Previous Clan/Event/Tournament Experience: USF/QRF/3dAC

What direction are you looking to take your team in during C10?

I want an active and motivated team. I will do my best to keep players focused and make them take this tournament serious, no drama will be tolerated. I am looking forward to enforce dedication and commitment so the players actually get to know the difference between a public round and this tournament. This means I will keep an eye on the SL's to ensure they have their guys under control and provide the best possible gameplay for everyone. At some point I want my team to be able to play together as if they were doing this for ages already. My main objective will be to unify the players and let them have a great time while pounding the enemy team into the ground!

What qualities are you looking for in your HCOs and why those qualities?

Mature, experienced players. I am not going to work with any hyper-active, attention-seeking drama-queens. They don't have to be ultra-pro ingame, all I ask is maturity and especially reliability. I am a person who never starts something which I cannot finish. If someone says he gets shit done, I expect it to be done in time without having to apply pressure on him..

How strict do you intend to be in terms of activity in trainings?

I will fully stick to the Tournament Rules and will have no mercy to anyone not being able to follow them, simple as that. I have no problem talking plain with people and neither am I afraid of taking appropriate steps to keep players on the right track.
Norby:

Approx time played Project Reality:
4 years

Previous Clan/Event/Tournament Experience:
KSK, TART & FH tournament

What direction are you looking to take your team in during C10?

There is only one direction: Victory!
Our team will be disciplined and well organized. We will set up training sessions in advance to get all squads battle ready. The teams structure will be modular and adaptable.
We will enforce team spirit and create a bonding experience for all members
We intend to be all-inclusive with general actions of the team to a responsible extent and to strike a balance between fun and seriousness.

What qualities are you looking for in your HCOs and why those qualities?

First of all Reliability. Commitment. Team Spirit and Fairness.
Then of course experience in PR, knowledge of the maps, understanding of tactics and characteristics of PR. They have to be able to accept constructive criticism and learn from their and others mistakes.

How strict do you intend to be in terms of activity in trainings?

There will be regular training sessions and everyone who wants to attend battle is expected to take part in trainings. Missing a training does not directly get you in reserve, but other players might invest time to take your place in a squad.
Expect to commit at least 3h a week, most of it on weekends.

OMG hard to chose.
Against my will I probably chose NCO Norby as a less strict training session, that fits my time.

Question: Will the officers be picked by the superiors or will it be first come first serve? Will officers that didn't get accepted, get accepted as grunts or will they have to sign up again?

Officers will be picked by the Supreme Commanders, not on a first-come first-serve basis.

Officers that did not get accepted will be considered as grunt applicants.

Hello Alex,

Grunts are first come first served as it has always been. But I doubt we will have any problems with getting too many signups to be honest.

If you're not interested in being an officer, don't signup until the 15th. Else you might get selected for an officer position and not be willing to do the job is not acceptable.

You can imagine how fast 100 spot will fill, I think you have to pre-made the application and post it on Monday 0:01

Here's some information about the Commanders:

Cruzmissile, Team A

Approximate time played Project Reality:

7 Years

Previous Clan/Tournament/CO experience:

[AIC]

How do you intend to lead the team in battle? What is your CO style?

It depends on the situation, and I adapt accordingly. Usually, I keep my team coordinated and together, as far as minute tactics, that is up to the squad lead as they can understand the situation on the ground a little better than I can. Overall, I give the intel, the objective and the route, the squad lead gets me the result.

How will you work with the team before and outside battles to prepare for battle?
The officers and I will most likely be the ones that discuss overall tactics and objectives well prior to the match. I welcome any concerns or questions. As far as basics are concerned, those will certainly be a part of the training process and I will oversee that to ensure all areas of importance are being covered. Our training will be thorough and we will get it right before moving on.
Snipd, Team B

Approximate time played Project Reality:
About 5+ years

Previous Clan/Tournament/CO experience:

S3XY clan leader (120 members and multiple servers across different games +competitive team),Arma2 ShackTac & UO, PR:Tournament(Grunt, NCO, SL, HCO, XO, CO), PR:TART, PR:World Cup Team USA CO, etc

How do you intend to lead the team in battle? What is your CO style?
Train my team to an efficient standard, maintain standard, provide commander's intent and mission critical orders, execute intent.

How will you work with the team before and outside battles to prepare for battle?

Team will be trained to standard before battle through Basic and Advanced courses, squad training, and team training. Team will keep organized records of active players, planning, after-action reports, etc. My personal style of commanding a tournament team is to get to know all members of my team from the newest team member to my right hand man and playing games with everyone to personally know my team's strengths and preferences.

Keep in mind that anyone that signups as Officer is selected by the SCO and CO, meaning they can not only decide not to give you an officer position, but also decide not to accept your signup for a grunt position. While anyone that signups as grunt, gets placed into teams by the admin team and only then will the SCO or CO go through his recruits and decide who might not be suitable for his team. So just because you don't have to signup again, doesn't mean you get a spot first or at all.

Of course once a player is in the team, he can only be removed if there are valid reasons.

If we have too many signups, which I currently doubt, then some might be left out.

We currently have more than 60 Officer applications already. I wonder how many grunt signups we're going to get...

It's nice to see that everyone is so enthusiastic about participating in the Official PRT but do keep in mind that these signups are only for players Really interested in taking an Officer Position. In the end, it is up to each SCO to decide how many officers he needs within his team structure.

We're getting some familiar "faces" returning to PR as well as completely new ones in search of a new experience. I hope you all enjoy your stay, have lots of fun and learn a bunch of new things. ;)

Officer signups are now closed! We have received over 70 applications for officer positions.

Thank you to all that have signed up. The team staffs are considering every application and the selected ones will be contacted by them.

Players that aren't selected for Officer positions will not need to signup again. The Admin team will manually include your signup into the grunt list.
