I look at the total players from time to time and I haven't seen a decrease in total players. Last weekend I saw a high of 450 players online, as I remember that's about the same or even more than at the end of .98.

Stupid thread. Look at the events, content tests and clan skrims which startet to appear more and more after the summer break. There will be no time where we got as much player as CS:GO, but thats not the point.
Its good as it is right now imho. Who are we to blame people for not playing pr 24/7 in the hot summer months?

Boring.
Besides, the tournament was full in literally hours despite us being very optimistic with the expected player counts. Still got more than we were prepared for. Let that speak for itself.
We even survived the loss of gamespy and EA giving up on BF2.
