UAV Commander and contact spotting
Is there a way that one can consistently get a '?' appear on the commander map when you hit 'contact' from the UAV. It seems to be kinda random for me when it appears or not. On a map like Shija the UAV is so misty its tricky to tell where the hell you are...or is the game designed like this...the fog of war...?

Good Evening,
My best results have been in thermal and crosshairs directly on the target. I have also found that you have better success farther out on your zoom than right up against it. That's my 2 cents.

Boy do I miss the days of direct lazing... But, I'll admit it was quite OP. Armor could hardly last 5 mins back then.

The '?' only appears when you have nothing to spot aka you are aiming at nothing. This can be a bit tricky as the radius it detects "something" seems rather bit.
So best results are by moving away with crosshair from the object you want to spot. The '?' wont be spot on, but that can easily be adjusted + the markers rarely need to be super precise.

I usually take 2 reference spot and make a triangulation, that doesn't work well on map's like Yamalia.
Au dela du possible ...

If you need to spot something, look for a large static object that isn't part of the terrain, like a boulder or a house.
These objects will always let you place a ? and you can use them to narrow down where the enemy you are trying to mark is located at.
Also, I've had luck with placing ?'s on destroyed vehicles, but it only seems to work on friendly destroyed vehicles.

95% of the time I play as the team commander. And do I decorate objects on the map to orient myself or use the tool "?" .[R-DEV]Mats391 wrote:The '?' only appears when you have nothing to spot aka you are aiming at nothing. I think the tool "?" unfair against SLs, because it actually reveals enemies inside buildings, hidden in bridges or trees, because the tool "?" Only appears on the panel when there is no enemy, and this denies the reality of the mod, and the advantage to enemy commander revealing points of ambush of my team.

You just necroed a thread from 2 years ago to complain about "reality" in a game? Hell most commanders don't even bother scanning every single section of the map to look at where there is no marker.bahiakof wrote:95% of the time I play as the team commander. Problem is not the lack of reality, but the tool "?" Which lets you know you have enemies in an area without having to look at them.
But if you do not mind if I ruin your ambush without seeing you on the map, fine
On the server that I play, they say I'm a good "operator UAV" / Commander.
