Launch ERROR 1323

Error verifying profile settings: I tried to create a new profile just to get game to run to no avail. Also I reset the profiles to default profile settings and still no luck.. Very frustrating :mad: :-(

Same issue here, cannot play PR anymore...

I have the same problem, just had a bluescreen and then this error. All ready reset it multiple times.

B.Pronk(NL) , try renaming the demobookmarks.con to demobookmarks.con.old and trying again.

Ragz are you getting a specific error message telling you which file is corrupt?

I don't understand how to fix this problem I am also getting this error what is this demobookmarks that you said to change?

MacDonald6,

First off, you need to remember your login info, write it down now.


go to My Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles and rename the 0001 folder to 0001Backup , 0002 folder to 0002backup etc.

Do not touch the Profiles\Default directory.

Open Global.con in notepad,

Should look like this

Change it to this:

GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix "

Save it.
Run PR and try to log in like this:
Hover mouse over Play->Select Profile->Manage Profiles->Create Profile-> And at this point you can create a new profile or try to retrieve your current profile. It is easier to create a new profile.

Then back out to the main PRLauncher window and click Play.
Log in with that new or retrieved ID.

I have followed these instructions but the error is still coming up sadly is there something elese I could try or maybe I am doing it wrong im not sure?

If you scroll up to Pronck's picture, it gives you the exact file that is causing the problem for him.

Can you please screenshot or write out the name of that file causing this for you, in this thread.

1. have you started BF2 and created and joined a single player coop game?
2. Please post your system specs:
PRLauncher->Support-Copy to CLipboard
Paste it all here.

This should fix it: Basically edit the file in notepad ,
1. go into your My Documents/Battlefield2/Profiles/BattleCommoDefaultUserSettings.con

2. Take your original BattleCommoDefaultUserSettings.con and save it some where else. You are going to make a new BattleCommoDefaultUserSettings.con and add this to it.

3. Go into your Battlefield 2 directory and click on BF2VoiceSetup.exe. Turn the settings all the way down, DO NOT click Mic boost, leave it blank. You want to make sure your Mic boost is checked in the windows in your Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices.

4. In your In game Audio options, set the threshold all the way down to 0. Make sure Mic boost is checked and enable VOIP.

That should work. It worked for me and a few others that I have passed this info to. There are a million and one ways to try and get your mic to work in 1.41, but this is the one that worked for me and many others.

Hope this helps some of you that are having this same problem.

go to C:\Users\Bernie\Documents\Battlefield2\Profiles\
copy the file BattleCommoDefaultUserSettings.con and paste it
rename the new one to BattleCommoDefaultUserSettings.con.old or something like that.

right click on BattleCommoDefaultUserSettings.con, select "Open with..." and open it with Notepad.
The entire file is only four numbers, change it to this:

Save the file in notepad. close it.

BattleCommoDefaultUserSettings.con this file is not in C:\Users\Bernie\Documents\Battlefield2\Profiles\

Right. I thought you had a broken file, it's actually missing.
