Permanent Fix For CTD On Startup Of v1.2.1.0

1.) Go to your Project Reality Video Settings and disable fullscreen, then click apply.
2.) Click on play and wait until you see the Project Reality in-game main menu appear.
3.) Exit the game using the in-game main menu.
4.) Go back to your Project Reality Video Settings and re-enable fullscreen, then click apply.
5.) Click on play again. (It should now be running properly in fullscreen)

This method worked for me. Tell me if it worked for you guys.

Didn't work for me, still getting CTD if I run PR in fullscreen...The game just crash right after I join a server (at the start of loading the map) without any error message.
It works fine in windowed mode.. I got win 7.
I tried changing resolution on both PR, BF2 and the computer also running in service pack 2, and as administrator
Someone got a solution?

EDIT: Solved by running it in compatability mode and as administrator for all users.

I also always CTD on first startup every time i play. Right after connecting to server, and loading map begins. Sometimes after 1-5 minutes from when i joined the server.
When I CTDd one time the game runs perfectly after next startup.

yeah, my doesn't work at all...I thought I solved it but it only worked one time... Oh well, windowed mode will do for now.

Try change the screen resolution to something like 1280 x 1024
