That info about the number of shovelings it takes for a FOB isn't useless at all! :o

Good Afternoon,

Ok, why is everyone focusing on the "useless" portion of the title instead of the "statistics" portion of the title?

This is a thread that has both useful and useless information.

Ok, I was fiddle farting around on Asad Kahl today and noticed something. The DShKM(? - the one with no side doors) techie gun fires a little to the right of the center sight. Has anyone seen this or confirm this?

-SwampFox
dshkm is the old Russian .50 cal.

I think you're correct, it's been mis-sighted for a long time actually

Good Evening,

BJC told me that it takes around 24, give or take, grenades to take down a FOB.

It takes 20'ish seconds for a Combat Engineer to build a razorwire and 23 wrenches. Shovel takes about double.

Good Evening,

Did you know that knifing your own rally will cost you around 100 points? Would have had top squad 3 rounds in a row if I hadn't knifed my rally to decrease confusion on spawn points near a fob I just placed.

Good Afternoon,

I wanted to post a picture about the area attack width. If you look at the following photo, you will see how wide the area attack is. I don't know the exact dimensions but this will hopefully help someone. The area attack marker was directly on the roof of the mosque a little south of center. If you notice, the attack covers the street south and the T building north.

Good Evening,

I think this has to do with the game mechanics of BF2 but..... in case you were wondering why you can't invite anymore people after you invite 6, it is because of the BF2 mechanics based on information I know of.

This may have been said before, or may be obvious to some of those who have gotten pissed off at a door before; apparently, a few rounds of 7.62 will breach a door, lock or even wooden-boarded gate. I never knew this before and had the misconception that only shotguns and C4 worked for the job.

Can someone confirm this? If you're having trouble reviving someone, get a medic to resuscitate you while a second medic stabs you with an epipen. So, for the split second that you're glitched out of a wall/tree/obstacle, you get stabbed by an epipen before you get bugged again. I've tried it twice, and both times it was successful. Not sure if it's because of the technique, or some kind of dumb luck.

Anecdotally, having 1 medic do the cpr, while a second uses the epi-pen can help with a tricky revive. I've done it a few times. But generally speaking having 2 medics to one guy is a bad use of manpower and a little risky. So I'd only recommend it when you've tried everything else.

Another option is getting a squad mate to drop a field dressing just before you use the epi-pen.

Cheers, Murkey.

The rifleman's ammo bag is a vital key to winning a battle. Apperently some people think choppers are invincible and have to drop supply crates to resupply ammo.

.50 cal machine guns will kill some APC's... BTR 80, BTR 70, BTR 60, BRDM, Stryker (A while back on Khami INS, my and my buddy found this out.), LAV-25, Chinese APC, and a few more iirc.

The dev's put the Medic Kit in the game, so USE IT!!!!
