Have you noticed, some players find it ok, to steal kits from sqds. But when they die and lose the kit, they will tk anyone taking that kit, since they consider it stealing ;)

Defending your fob depends on whether the fob is a hidden spawning fob or a fob built for emplacements.

Yes there is a difference, learn it squad leaders.

Ever noticed how cas squad takes the HAT kit and always manage to lose it by the time cas spawns.

But i forget, getting kills is the most important thing in the game so silly me. :d uh:

When a player dies recently and his limited kit on the ground is then taken by a teammate without his consent, that is the definition of stealing a kit.

Yeah I've noticed it for YEARS.

Always someone who has had too much soda, or some other substance who is trigger happy. You are being sneaky and this person does not get that or care.

On AAS - smurfs and squads will spawn on a fob away from the flags in play and stay there. not to operate mortars or hold off some tanks or provide AA, but they spawn there and just sit around like someone took the brain out of their heads and just threw it in the microwave for a few minutes then put it back in.

I see squads being lead so far away from action that it actually can cost the team flags depending on the asset load out. If it's an asset heavy map, don't be thinking that you can go fart around with your inf squad. You are likely one of only 2 or 3 inf squads, so coordinate and be of use by staying within cap of the defend or attack flag. Drives me up the wall.

I see people doing weird stuff with their squads that really makes ZERO sense, it's totally useless and yet there are 8 players doing this useless action. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. So in response to the specific situation of engaging the enemy in a battle away from objectives ... they think they are helping, but they aren't. You let the enemy be dumb and wander around like their lives actually depended on it while you take your squad and cap some flags, while leaving some fobs behind in useful areas.

Stop setting up FOBs right on top of flags, spread them out within a reasonable distance 300 m of the flag. Set up FOBs between flags and off a little from the direct path, you often can get a big group back on the defend flag quickly if you do this. Also set up a quick mortar pit and hit the enemy position, then DELETE the mortar pit when you are done. I don't see mortars in play often enough and find myself setting them up to hit the enemy quickly and it makes a huge difference. Just build one up real fast use it and demo it.

On INS, which I enjoy just as much as AAS, Please learn what the unknown is and the known is. Stop setting up hideouts right next to the cache give the stupid proximity ieds a rest next to the cache
most important, defend the known caches. If a cache pops up and everyone is wandering around where the last cache just got blown up, suicide and spawn on the new cache you don't lose tickets or at least start moving out for the new known. I see these guys playing INS like its AAS where they are taking squads out and taking the fight to the OPFOR, for the most part this shouldn't happen, we need heads on the caches.

Use the INS area attack. On some maps every 15 minutes its ready. Use your cell phone as a squad leader
In AAS learn to use the squad leader radio to call area attacks it's easy. select radio, click mouse so finger is on ear. hold Q and whatever you are pointing at when you select area attack it will target that
Learn to at least demolish and accept area attacks as commander. You simply right click over someones request for area attack on the map and hit accept. Ok enough of my mini manual.

DEVS please bring back the pipe bomb ieds that could stick to walls they were bad ***. We could defend the cache so good and it was soooo funnnnnnn !!!!!!! granderslice knows whats up with that.

Thanks for a great mod, and an entertaining forum. See yall on the virtual battlefield that is going to cause me to have high blood pressure if the above mentioned doesn't straighten out at some point. Peace lol.

If you are lone wolfing and don't have someone to watch your kit body or revive you I wouldn't call it stealing. You'd also be surprised if you ask nicely for kit back then tend to give it back.

Usually wont bother me unless a squad is named for that, like AT squad. Normally I dont give a shit and hope they do better with it than I did.

Yeah I'd say unless you have a chance of being revived, it's alright to take the kit. As long as your squad leader says he wants or needs the kit. My basic rule when SLing is if it's not on the spawn menu you have to ask me before you take it.

I agree with half of the stuff you said. But I relate to the building fobs on the flag. It's a tactic that can prevent the enemy from being in cap range. But, yet again.... one CAS run, or a AREA ATTACK will dominate you.

Have you noticed the CAS squad that takes the Spandrel, ect and wastes it?

Good Evening,

Have you ever noticed how everyone is a noob that runs over a marked mine? Just listen to some of the folks that holler, beller, and otherwise scream about folks running over their well placed mines that they tell no one about.

:P

Not necessary.

Here's rule from PRTA EU server

2.6 You may not reclaim kits that you have lost.

Surpressive fire is waaay underused. Of course I am not talking about one lone AR laying down surpressive fire, but about armor using that coaxial and giving the enemy hell (and shooting that HE if you dont know where the enemy is, guess). A surpressed team is so much more easily overrun.

But I agree surpressive fire is only usefull if used in the context of a squad that works together.

I usually have like 3 squad members supress... AR, Grenadier, Medic. It use it on Muttrah a ton, or other CQB Situations or Long range battles.
I usually then have 5 other guys come w/ me to clear the compound while they suppress....
Me, Medic, Breacher, Rifleman, LAT Kit. It works well, but people say you waste ammo.
