The purpose of this Thread is to list every feature, add-ons, gameplay changes/fixes that the PR community wants/expects for the next release of the mod.

Most players have voted the game crashes as the most game breaking problem that needs to be addressed in future patches. These crashes happen when starting a server, loading a map or mid game.

Now here are some of the most requested features/addons/changes/fixes players want for PR version 1.3:

Multiplayer

- Reduce and hopefully remove most/all the crashes on some maps
- 10 Players Squads
- WW2 and Falkands mini mods integrated into the main game
- Better performance for Certain maps especially Russian/Chinese forests that cause stutters no matter the configs/settings used. (But not reducing view distance/adding fog) Players would have less assets or size of the map rather than less view distance. Identifying which assets are causing most of the problems could be the key here. (The incredible amount of tress perhaps?)
- Include TOP quality community/dev team map packs into the official release.
- Have asset creation not kill nearby players but injuring them instead so they at least can be treated by a medic.

Coop: This category was added since lots of players began using this mode once the Gamespy service went down and it seem quite popular now, especially after the many improvements to the bots found in the latest versions of PR.

- Reduce and hopefully remove most/all the crashes on some coop maps
- Add coop mode to all the maps
- Have alt version of the maps specially designed for a better coop experience (reducing chokepoints and promoting better bot distribution therefore simulating human behavior better)
- Have bots follow human squad leader?s commands more reliably (right now they might follow the orders/commands but most of the time they just follow the commander's orders)

I will continue adding reasonable and practical requested features to this list as people post them here.

Note: This wish list is by no means a request list and its items were taken from both the forums and specially in game matches and youtube gameplay videos.

a list of what everyone wants? Well, that list would be as long as my receipt after going to the mall with my girlfriend. ;-)

But I would want more players, that can actually and are willing to play as a team.
And there could never be a 1.3.... they could just do... 1.2.2.1.1.1.01 ;P

That's nice. I don't want WW2 and Falklands included in the main mod, it's already bloated with maps no one plays, cramming in another 800Mb of data will stretch the overburdened loading system further.

Your suggestions are rife with very complex technical problems that have been plaguing PR for a significant span of time.
Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.

Thanks for your comments guys, both positive and negative... I am aware some of this things have already been suggested before and I will remove anything that has been discarted by the devs or deemed imposible/hardcoded.

Quick question: Adding the addons contents to the main mod will only make it a larger install size or will it also affect performance? I always tought that only the necesary assets for the current map are loaded and that more content wouldn't necessarily mean worst performance / longer loading times would it?

It would only increase the size of the mod, it would not affect a players FPS on any existing/unchanged maps/assets etc.

That's been discussed already, make it separate mods and no one will play them, you can't expect people to switch games just to play one specific map, Falklands and WWII need a full server to be 100% fun, the maps are so huge and the lack of vehicles available make it so. It's the same with Vietnam, we enjoy a vietnam map now and then, but not all the time, if it was a separate mod that you had to launch after quitting PR, no one would play it.

Having the minimods integrated to the main mod is a necessity.

I didn't think I would ever want to tell anyone on the forums to shut their mouth but this may be one exception ;) Keep in mind that many players are really looking forward to these minimods and that a lot of people in the community have put huge amounts of time into bringing them back to PR.

Well, if adding those amazing mini mods into the main installer only means a bigger file and no FPS lost then I see now reason not to add them, specially since 60GB games are the common norm these days... what is a 10GB installer compared to that?

Integrating high quality mods to the main game will make them a lot more popular and therefore more progress will be made with motivated devs and happier players... it is a WIN WIN situation if you ask me, with the only ones loosing are the guys with small hardrives and very slow internet connections.

Also, with PR:2 on the cryengine on HOLD, Squad requiring at least 4 more years to reach PR:BF2 quality and Arma 3 clumsy as hell making even firing sideways a chore this mod is our only hope for tactical and strategic combined arms warfare.

Guys, do you know why me and my clan mates get sttuters on the Dovre and Wanda Shan Maps?

We are running of 5 different PCs but all with current hardware and those are the only maps we know off that lag on any setting and no matter what hardware is running the map it always stutters. (This is terrible for flying choppers as the 1/2 second stutters can make you crash the aircraft) These issues are not network related since we are on a 1000MB/sec. LAN and besides only 1/10 of the maps have these issues.

More intriguing is the fact that similar sized maps with aparently very similar amount of objects/assets like Mestia or Saaremaa run incredibly well.

Perhaps this will help the Devs to know where the mod needs a little bit more optimization.

PS: These stutters are not config related since setting everything to low still has the same result as on high and messing arround with sound quality did not help eighter.

Anyone experiencing the same?

Here's my humble wishlist for 1.3 (probably stuff that other people have forgotten about):

- AKM assault rifle (Syrian community faction is working on it)
- SPG emplacement that can be operated by two players and rotated faster (previously suggested and Rhino seemed to like the idea though I don't know if it'll be implemented)
