I just posted something in PR BF2 Support.

It appears that the 142.54.165.198 which is the IP address of the "GameSpy" replacement, I assume, is not connected right now.

Go to your command prompt and type this:

tracert 142.54.165.198

It will list a bunch of hops and if you get past 192.187.107.1 then you are doing better than me.

Maybe weather related as there is a massive cold front moving down through the central states right now.

I had the exact same problem, but I got around it by using an alternate username/account.
