Hello everyone! I know it may be some peoples' nature to moan about a newbie trying to join the pack (It seems its that way everywhere we go), but let me level with ya. I've always been the guy who wanted a game where people had to act more tactically than being blunt force. I've been around the block many times with games that involved roleplaying whilst having a constant threat to combat, and I'm most certainly the type of person who enjoys it. So when I stumbled across this game about a year ago, you can bet money that I was in a rush to get involved. By the time I finally bought BF2, the game kept crashing on me and it seemed as if I was doomed. Now that time has passed and I fixed the issue a year later, I wanted to resume my pursuit to play this game.
However, I've always had a problem with joining up with random people and trying to fit into their metaphorical equation. Call it shyness or what have you, it is a personal issue. My request is to find someone that will either
A.) Take me under their wing for some sort hands-on tutorial on playing the game (I'm a fast learner and already pretty good when it comes to getting serious)
or
B.) Give me advice on how to find a willing group and where I could find them.
Either way, you'll be doing me a tremendous service, and you'll be fulfilling a dream I couldn't accomplish a year ago.
Please respond if you could assist me, and thanks for reading!

Just go join a server join one of the first infantry squads to be formed and tell em you're new, most people are happy to help.
Use mumble local H to ask near people questions as opposed to spamming squad 0 with it.

Re: Looking for Advice/Group
Thank you all for the advice, last night I joined a random FOB Squad and was able to pick up the basic communication skills among your squad and locally.
