No Fix for Months Help Plz!

Post by Bascunan »

Alrighty ill make this very short as i can. Last year i tried playing BF2 PR. Would get a full round on a map, then second map i would play for about 5mins then i'd get a text in the middle of my screen saying your connection to the server has been disconnected. Then take me back to the server list with the same box on the error. Back one year ago ish i asked for help here but didn't wanna revive the thread and decided to open this one. It's possible it might be my ISP. But what can i do to play a game that my ISP Doesn't support. So i tried downloading BF2 PR 2 days ago with fresh windows 8.1 Install and BF2, and PR. And i still get the same error after a map. I Wanna play so bad. But i feel like i would have to wait for Project Reality 2 with the amazing CryEngine 3. i can play every pc game but a MoD for BF2. So should i wait for PR2. And would i be able to not run into this issue with PR2. But PR2 will take 1-2 years to finish?

I'm also a Optonline customer.
That SageM smart router is it the piece of shit Sagemcom F@st 3965CV model?

is in general a PITA. I'm not saying it's causing the problem for PR, that's just in general when people ask me about connecting new cellphones/tablets etc to that router and the log in to router.optimum.net .

What's the exact model of your Arris modem?

What motherboard do you have?
Using Wifi or wired LAN?

------------------------

First step:
take the Sagemcom F@st 3965CV out of your network,
connect PC directly to your Arris modem,
then try to play PR, World of Warcraft, or Natural Selection 2, and see if the DC's stop.

ARRIS Model - TM822G
Wired LAN
Motherboard - MSI B75MA-P45
And yes thats the router i have haha. But i need my router for my cell phone tablet, and laptop etc. So wouldn't connecting the modem to my pc directly stop wifi?

Remove that shite router just to test playing PR on the LAN without the router in the network.

Then reconnect the router once you finish testing.

Alrighty. i just did what you said to try and test. i connected the modem straight to the computer. After 1 full map, and 40mins into the next. Driving an APC, and i get connection to the server is lost. Any other suggestions?
