Thank you for all those who contributed to PR
I haven't been on this forum for couple of years now, and it's been very long since I've last played PR.
I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who's contributed anything to this mod, and for making it possible for me to play what I consider the best game of all time! I've played many games/mods, but never put as many hours in any game as I put in PR. If I'm not wrong, I put about 5,000 hours into PR, in a period of around 3 years. I started playing towards the end of v0.6x, beginning of v.07 (Battle of Quinling, whenever that was introduced.), and I think I played until the end of 0.9x. Not sure why I stopped playing it really, could be that the pace of the game has become too slow for the sake of realism (Removing the old Rally Point system maybe?) but I think the game changed way too much from around v0.8 which was my favorite version.
In any case, I will never forget all those summer nights when I began playing at 9 PM, and stayed up all the way to 9 AM, all of that, and barely going through 4 rounds! I loved flying the F16 on Kashan Desert, the Attack Helicopter, as well as infantry on Muttrah. Loved flying transport on Jabal Al Burj, making risky insertions at the dam, needing to avoid the APC fire from the other side of the ridge. Loved flying the Little Bird on Ramiel. I loved 7 Gates, still not sure why that was retired. I loved playing with the British Forces, and later the German. I loved flying planes, as well as playing infantry... I loved all the team work. I loved everything about it!
A big thank you to all the PR Devs for making what should be considered a testimony to game modifications. Thank you for sacrificing so much of your time, so that we could enjoy this game.
Project Reality, the best modification of all time.
Sincerely,
A Grateful Person

That is nice man. You should actually try the 1.xx as they reintroduced rally points with some modifications. Pace is a little faster than 0.9 plus there's a lot of awesome stuff, new maps, factions, etc.

Re: Thank you for all those who contributed to PR
I have actually tried one of the more recent versions one time... A few months back... and the game just felt laggy and didn't run very well.. I played a couple of rounds... Felt a bit lost actually from all the changes etc... And the game felt kinda old. It was just really fun when it was still new... But I just felt like thanking the devs for all the fond memories I had!brunoff wrote:That is nice man. You should actually try the 1.xx as they reintroduced rally points with some modifications. been playing this game for 7+ years
Not only do the devs and contributors deserve credit for the content they've created, but for the continued creation of content even after 1.0 been released and patched. For as evidenced the current climate of the game, the heart beats that are updates are required in order to pump the life blood that is players into this game

There is nothing like PR out there in the world. So I am planning to stick to it for a long foreseeable future!

Oh Wicca! I remember you from the good old times! Glad to see that you're still around! I remember one time you organized an event, which I took part in... It was I think Fallujah West at night! Specifically made for that event! I think I even had you on my Xfire[R-CON]Wicca wrote:There is nothing like PR out there in the world. So I am planning to stick to it for a long foreseeable future!

Well, that's what you get on a 10 year old engine. But at least this isn't a Wolfenstein 3D modPunkbuster wrote:I have actually tried one of the more recent versions one time... Still the best game, though.
