That chopper actually got shot by Stonefly with his LAT, They just landed in front of him

Far away from that Area attack.

from my perspective it's like he was landing inside the area attack

I thought it was a LAT too when I watched the video.

I heard it fire off and shortly after there was an explosion.

Still, the chopper was dangerously close to an area attack and the pilot obviously had a lack of experience.
