The box ownership will still be under my eyes, all of my admins have moved to PRTA and PRTA will take care of it while I venture on my own ways. One thing I would never do is ditch the players that get 100ms ping on my server 10,000 miles away, like you, the sever brand will hold for a little, and the box will stay. So don't worry about having to play with bad ping again.

Thanks for playing and fighting off the flamers with me Psyrus ;)

As a player (not as a member of the team), can I urge everyone to keep their heads as cool as possible about all of this... we're all here because we still have a passion for PR and I hope we can all keep that in mind. Rather than allowing ourselves to descend into distrust and animosity, coming together (despite differences of opinion or rocky history) to make the best possible experience for the players and the server admins alike would be the best course of action... at least I would like to think so :)

Sad to hear.. yet, not surprising at all. For a long time there has been development in rebuilding it.

Angles we have to go around are
  1. Making a very modular, durable, and understandable ruleset.
  2. Avoiding the mistakes our predecessor generations made.
  3. Server uniqueness.
  4. Remastering the administration.
  5. Not attracting the "trash" players.
  6. Allowing noobs to train on our server (for training) and set up a uniform system making them better players to prolong the life of PR.
And to add-on, the server will be open again at some point. Everyone knows but seemingly forgets that the server re-opening will be mixed inside of an important day in the Project Reality Community. I've also been exploring other games to be hosting within the future primarily because of how old BF2 is, my #1 Priority is not Project Reality hosting, but, I will be honest, with the amount of people who are pressuring me to rush this re-opening it is beginning to arise closer to my #1 priority.

Shoot me a Private Message if you want more eyecandy.

Are the rumours true that you sold fcv to a polish chick?

I saw the server back on the server list last night and was tempted to join it but decided not to. Since last time I was on the server it was a clusterfuck in main bases, CERTAIN admins were horrible, and the maps played were boring after playing on the same maps 30 times in a week.

Is it the same exact server? Or did you get new admins?
Tomorrow I'll try and hop on the crazy van.

It's a new server with the same name.

Be aware if you do join: the cement is still drying and the server isn't fully finished, it's open right now thanks to the anxiousness of the players that support it.

It's not a clusterfuck, there are completely brand new administrators, and the maps don't suck. I have instructed the server admins to stay away from Fallujah as much as possible.

LA's infrastructure is disgustingly set up.

Good. I'll play on it since there are new admins. And yeah, I know what ya mean.
what I meant with "clusterfuck". is the last times I played on FCV (when it was previously open) it was constant hell in main base and idiots were operating assets. Unless it was my luck, but that occured decent amount. But I'm GLAD you got new admins.

Thanks Brenn4n

EDIT:
I like how you guys have the Mechanized INF rule. Really is how it is supposed to be IMO. Really did great on the rules. (Easy to read). Once Question, I'll use Silent Eagle as example...
Your on Germany (they don't have "light apcs".). Does the MEC INF only get ONE APC? (Like once they get killed in the one APC they get), they can't have another one?
A lot of times, I see MECH INF squads constantly make their APC/IFV go into the worst possible areas. (Like, driving right into a hotzone). If I run an APC squad (I usually do APC's good amount of times), I would be worried if the MECH INF squads lose the one APC they get, then they get another one and get it blown up.

Thanks though.

Again, disclaiming that everything is a WIP.

Have a good one.
