Played this on the Vietnam layer as US last night. We did a good job setting up a beachhead and surrounding the airstrip but the ticket bleed killed us. I hope it gets removed because its already difficult enough to take the airstrip with the Vietnamese killing you with their BTRs and autocannons and camping the control tower.

That has nothing todo with the map but the chinese truck in general. Its fixed for next version.Banana Joe wrote:Hey guys,

Agreed... that really is the only complain most have about this map. The ticket bleed hurts. There should be no bleed, unless the US captures the airstrip, then loses it. I think the devs could almost add a harrier for this map and have one Huey on STD layout. Maybe make a LRG layout (if there isn't already) and Have Cobra, 2 CAS Hueys. I remember once, the commander cordinated a PERFECT attack on the airfield. Here is a picture of what he said to land.
The blue dot was squad 3, 6 Players... landed there put up a fob.
Green Dot was squad 5 8p. Secured the rock fortifications. (Green oval around it)
Red Dot was squad 4. 8p. Made a fob, and then pushed to the fence.
White DOT was a boat squad, 8p. They went around the entire island... the Looonggg way and they landed there and secured the ATC tower in 5 minutes.
The Pink dots were the APC's.
[/IMG]The Airfield was captured within 9 minutes from the start. Coordinated well. (I was in APC squad driving).
I can't remember what server... But both teams were GREAT. The Chinese really lacked at start but came back. The Final score was like 14-0 or something like that, US won.
you have to have a good team. Heli pilots HAVE to fly well or else you lose.
The other times I played on it... the heli pilots decided to land RIGHT in the middle of the strip and got AT'ed. (IT was funny actually).
The ticket bleed kills though. Even through the great match I was part of. We lost over 30 tickets within the 9 minutes.

Map needs more space on the Western side of the island. Especially in the modern version, if the Chinese build FOBs nearish there they can stop all boats and APCs from getting anywhere near the island and the flag they have to capture.
In general it'd just make sense if there was more water around the whole island.
