I would rather have a system where people can't take logi trucks to use them as transport. Yeah, that is impossible.... but I know servers kick those who do that. Almost make it like Squad Leaders are the only one able to drive them. Or you have to have a SQL in the logi to drive if your not a sqleader.

Why not have a requirement to have a squad leader kit to use the logi? Like a crewman kit for vehicles.

Although this would just cause tons of problems. Maybe not.

That is totally another suggestion, but aswell not useful. you can't send one of your teammates back to base to refill. The three seat logi sounds good to me. 3man squads would not take logis that fast, it is slow and big. And when they do build a FOB as a sniper squad, then it is oke right? When on a good position ofcourse..

Is it really impossible to squeeze a 6th guy somewhere in a humvee?

They could sit on each others laps or make someone hug the MG gunner from behind.

I don't get it.

So we have a Logi and a Humvee, that makes 7 people which is plenty to place a raly-point for the 8th guy.

What seems to be the problem?
Saying a player to hold spawn? That's just the 101 of Project reality - holding spawn.

Dont question the wikipedia! Just because it reports different things on different languages does not make it unreliable source!

In my main post I exemplified EVERYONE respawned at the main

But let's see your point, 5 seconds before the respawn, SL says "101PR, hold spawn"

1- One less squad member to support the squad in case sh*t goes south
2- One less useful kit for the squad if everyone else got the 'basic' respawn screen kits
3- One less pair of eyes to pay attention to the squads surrounding
4- You can't always place a RP

Its seems as the RP is the main reason of all the problems in this thread... soloutin, Remove it.

This would be very useful as most squads would not have to stare at spawnscreen while waiting for SL + 1 to get to a good spot to drop down rally. Having 3 on logi makes humvee actually usable(without having to take a transport humvee which might not even exist on the map).

The ride to the frontline(or a little behind frontline) is a semi-tedious one(for the driver) and often overlooked; but it adds a little more immersion.
Those times when you are just casually talking about everyday life things when spawn "ambusher" blows up your humvee with a RPG = priceless.

This should be for all factions, of course.

the only difference is they will not have supply crates, that's all

The point is that instead of taking a trans truck, you would be able to take a 3 seated vehicle to deploy a 8 men squad. And yeah, the fact that you additionally have 2 supply crates ready to use wherever you deploy your whole squad, makes this pretty OP.

However, making FOBs with 2 shovels takes a considerable time to finish, plus the 2~3 minutes wait it takes to get ready for deployment. Also, besides the fact it can be overruned, while the 2 squad members dig the FOB, they will only have a SL to cover, that will make them a sitting duck

However, if when you said "wherever you deploy your whole squad" you mean the usage of Rally Points;
Rhino said:
"isn't it 3 squad members near you required now iirc? If not, possibly we should up it to 3 seeing as we have 8 man squads now too?"

That pretty much breaks the 'rush and set RPs' problem

Didn't the troop transport trucks get a light supply crate for this reason? Not to make to throw the topic off the rails... just curious.

Yes, they do have a light supply crate. But about 50% of the actual maps doesn't have transport trucks

Instead of doing the extra guy in the back of the logistics truck, why can't you just add dirt bikes or quads for those that get left behind so they can join the battle or maybe even bicycles with rockets <- "kidding on that last part"?

Technically you could still have the big "rally point exploit" many people are worried about, but instead of just running off with a Logi Truck and then deploying a full squad from a RP, you would just be running off with a Logi Truck and a Dirt Bike, then deploying a full squad :p

This is before going into all the unrealistic aspects and gameplay problems of adding dirt bikes for this kinda use :p

Now we can nerf the rallypoint.

Two birds with one stone.

Dirtbikes in PR are fun, just cause you guys hold W the whole time doesn't mean it's a shitty means of transportation...

Someone had to defend dirtbikes.

Dirt Bikes are by far the best transport in PR.
