Black Screen and Freeze on Launch
Ok, so I launch the launcher, press play and it goes to a black screen, which then freezes. I cannot tab out or close it with the task manager. Can someone tell me a fix. I can explain more if needed.

Re: Black Screen and Freeze on Launch
I've tried with compatibility mode, disabling my antivirus and firewall, using windowed mode and full screen etc, but still nothing. Just a constant black screen, with no error message or loading. It literally just stays on a black screen until I try and tab out (which doesnt work.) The only way to close it is with Task Manager, which tells me the program is "not responding". I then press end task, and it eventually closes, but i still need to wait after that too...

Re: Black Screen and Freeze on Launch
please post your PC specs:
(PRlauncher -> support->copy to clipboard button, paste everything here)
If you have any 3rd party overlay programs, shut them off completely before starting PR. MSI Afterburner, Winamp overlay, TS3 overlay, overwolf overlay, steam overlay, etc.
Does vanilla BF2 singleplayer work?

Re: Black Screen and Freeze on Launch
Everything looks good.
4 things to start: (A bit of a stab in the dark)
1. if your Primary Recording: Microphone (Blue Snowball) is a USB microphone, try unplugging it and disabling it in Windows Audio Manager, then start PR to test.
2. Clear your shaders: PRLauncher->Support->Utilities tab->Clear Shaders Cache button. You can also Clear favorites and server history here too.
3. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 2 Complete Collection\PRBF2.exe and start it manually once. it will get you to the menu screen then give a warning "You must use the PRLauncher.", click ok and shut down the program. Sometimes running PRBF2.exe once like this will fix these problems.
4. Try disabling your second monitor/TV, 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) @ 30 Hz ... PRLauncher might be confusing which display to show the game on, and since your displays have two different refresh rates, the expected result would be a black screen hang, which you're experiencing. So give it a try.

Re: Black Screen and Freeze on Launch
Most of the things like the second monitor are not even plugged in when i am trying to play. And this shouldn't be causing a complete game freeze anyway. Not sure what to do...
