Can't download torrent - Direct download?

First, it was a pain in the *** to get a torrent client, because at University they apparently block most site. Now, the download is stuck at 0% and I've tried two different torrent programs, so I'm guessing the University is blocking the traffic. Is there any way to get a DDL or do I have to go bum internet off someone? I get a good 10-12mb/s dl speed here so I'd rather download it like that then wait multiple hours to even get a torrent working.
